The Library

Sitting in her usual place by the Sci-Fi section, hidden by the tall shelf of encyclopedias in front, Avni pulled out her college English essay and sipped on her Café Coffee Day cappuccino as she looked around her haven. The place looked like time had stopped there, for the teetering shelves were piled high with thick books, none of them dusty. However, modernity too had left its mark in the form of the Dell wireless computer sitting at the librarian's desk.
As she placed her laptop beside her books, her eyes darted over to a girl who looked like she was in her late teens, browsing the shelves. As the girl bumped into a tall boy and they blushed, Avni's lips broke out into a soft smile...

" 'Avvu, come on! How long are you going to sit here? Chal na! CCD chalte hain!' (Come on! Let's go to CCD!)
Looking at her boyfriend, she replied, 'Yes Varun, aa rahi hoon! (I'm coming!) Just let me finish my homework!' "...

As she thought of her first love, now passed away for three years, she saw another first love unfold in front of her eyes. She opened her laptop, clicked on Wattpad, and started to write: 'It all began at the library...'

Aha!
First love can be so sweet (though I haven't experienced it yet :P) and innocent. Do let me know what you think, and feel free to leave suggestions for new stories in the comments or on my message board. Till then...
