When Jungkook wakes, he's back in his own bed, comfortable but utterly confused.
He didn't think what he experienced last night was a dream, but then again what else could it be.
There was no way he really met not only one, but two tigers and lived to tell about it. Jungkook swore his dreams were just getting weirder and weirder. He could at least be thankful that this dream was lovely instead of strange and unfamiliar like his previous ones.
It was just kind of sad that the beautiful flower-filled utopia that he 'visited' was just another dream. Not to mention the handsome character he met there.
Taehyung. He remembers as clear as day and is exceptionally disappointed that he was a fiction of his imagination as well.
For the next few minutes he lies in his bed thinking about how he felt when Taehyung appeared out of nowhere. How quickly he expected the other to not believe that he had happened upon his home by mistake. Yet he believed Jungkook without hesitation and then apologized to him instead.
That didn't happen to Jungkook often, if at all.
He had been so understanding and gentle, he thought as he remembered Taehyung's touch on his own hand. Then his voice just a breath away from his ear.
'You're ok.'
Jungkook shudders for a moment then shakes it off and all but launches himself from his sheets. He had a heap of chores for the morning and he wouldn't get them done before nightfall if he continued to daydream.
No matter how much he wanted to.
Regardless, Jungkook left his quarters to wash up, quickly scarf down his breakfast and go start the pile of work he knew was waiting for him. Gathering wood for the fires would need to be done first.
However as his hands stayed busy, there was one thing nudging in the very back of Jungkook's mind that he couldn't very well ignore.
And that was how exactly did Jungkook get back to his room?
He had gone out to the border of the property to be alone. He fell down in the meadows to cry and wallow. He remembered that happening for sure, but what about after? Surely he wasn't visited by the cub in his dream.
Had he fallen asleep after that, and someone took him back to his room?
He would guess another slave, but he hadn't told anyone he'd be out there.
Maybe they just found him? At least that had to be the case, right?
It was the only scenario that made sense anyway.
Jungkook breathes in air that was thick with the smell of fresh herbs and spices as he rises from the dirt of the garden floor.
Dusk was finally approaching and he completed all his daily tasks quicker than he expected. His last job was to maintain the families personal garden. A job he purposely takes longer to do because of his love for the full-bodied smells of the plants grown to be eaten.
However, it was getting dark and he felt that he was finally ready to turn in. Jungkook dusted the dirt off of his clothes and hands, thinking about maybe even taking the risk and sneaking some bread before heading back to his room for the night.
He tended to get a little hungry this time of the night and figured a loaf of bread would be exactly what he needed to put him to sleep. Smiling he looked up at the moon, admiring its beauty as pale lavender clouds rolled by it.
