"Please do it without me; I can't," Jin said, moving away from the computer screen. Yoongi wanted him to do a video call with his parents to announce the news of his pregnancy, but he couldn't do it.
He had never even met Yoongi's parents, and it had only been a week since he had moved in with Yoongi, which had been an adjustment for him, a big one, although his nerve had soothed a lot once he saw how much Jimin settled in and liked the place.
Taehyung had finally started coming around, yesterday being his first day to visit. He didn't talk to Jin or Yoongi, but he spent the afternoon with Jimin, which made Jin thankful; he didn't want Jimin to lose his friendship with Taehyung.
He was not sure why Taehyung ignored him. However, he figured eventually he would come around; he was a baby to Jin, one probably still going through puberty and trying to understand his emotions.
"No, we have to do this together. My parents won't bite; that's my job." Yoongi pulled Jin into his lap and wrapped his arms around him. Clicking open the Skype video call amid Jin's protest.
Jins stopped moving in Yoongi's lap when he felt something poke him, and his eyes went wide as two people showed up on the screen. They seemed a bit taken back, and Yoongi shifted Jin on his lap so he could look at them.
"Mom, Dad, how are you? How's the weather? Listen, dad; I took your advice on settling down, this right here is Kim Seokjin, my fiancé, oh, and before I forget he is pregnant."
Jin turned to face Yoongi with his mouth hanging open, "That-"
"Wow, son! You never cease to amaze us, do you? When did this all happen, how come I have never heard of him before? Seokjin, can you tell me how long you have known my son, and are you pregnant? OR is this one your sick joke Yoongi?" Yoongi's father's voice boomed through the computer audio, disrupting Jin's thoughts causing him to turn back and face the computer screen. Yoongi squeezes his waist and grumbled something he could not pick up on.
"Dad, I met him at a strip club exactly after you told me to settle down, this isn't a joke." Yoongi was smirking while looking at his father as his parents stared back at him in disbelief.
"So, you are a stripper?" Yoongi's mom questioned, not being able to hide the shock in her voice.
"The best there ever was too, but he is no longer a stripper, at least not for anyone but me, b-" Jin turned and slapped Yoongi, causing him to shut up.
"What is wrong with you! Are you crazy?" Jin yelled at him, not caring if his parents were watching.
He then heard Yoongi's father laughter.
"I am sorry I am just trying to answer their question." Yoongi defended, seeing how upset Jin was with him.
"Well, let me answer then, and you keep shut." Jin glared at him and turned back to face Yoongi's parents, who had an amused expression on their faces.
"Someone who can shut my son up, finally! I have waited for this day all my life." Yoongi's father expressed while smiling wide, making Yoongi roll his eyes.
"I am sorry Mr. and Mrs. Min, and I didn't mean to do that in front of you, it's just your son can be a bit much at times. Right now this is all new for us, I am not engaged, neither am I his fiancé. He is, however, right about me being pregnant, which was a fault of ours for not using protection when we should have." Jin looked down at his hands when he was finished talking; he still couldn't believe he had ended up pregnant, he wasn't sure how this was going to impact his future or even school, something he had been working hard to finish.
"Agreed, you would be surprised to know he was a good kid, but once high school rolled around, and someone gave him the attention he became as you know him now."
"I am here, you know, I can see and hear you guys talking about me," Yoongi said, looking at his father in disbelief.
"Right. Anyway, Seokjin, you said you guys are not engaged, I hope you have at least discussed this. Yoongi has lived a very reckless life, which I am sure you are familiar with. He has brought down our family name in ways we cannot begin to explain to you. With that being said, I need you both to think about what future you are looking to have. Having a child is a major responsibility, and I don't know how responsible you are, but I know my son. I would hate for my grandchild to come into this world with parents who are uncertain about their relationship. Or even if they want a child to begin with, therefore, I hope this is something you both are discussing!
Second, Yoongi, I do not want news about this getting out until you and this young man here has this figured out. Seokjin, no offense intended towards you, but I will have to run a background check on you. I am a man of business and honor, I like to know what's going around and who is joining our family. I expect that the next time we speak, you and Yoongi will have an update on the next steps towards your future together. Until then, figure this out and Yoongi, call me tomorrow, I have some things I would like to discuss with you.
Seokjin, you seem like a lovely person, very easy on the eyes, I look forward to talking with you again. Keep my grandbaby safe and take care."
When the video call ended, Jin got off Yoongi's lap and stared at him, "I am confused, what did he mean?"
"Well, if you had kept it shut and let me talk, we wouldn't have gotten that long drawn out speech. To condense everything he said, in a nutshell, he wants us to get married. Which is no surprise to me, the reason WHY I told him we were engaged, but of course, you had to blab and say we are not." Yoongi got out of the chair, shut down his laptop, and pushed it to the side. He already knew why his father wanted to talk to him tomorrow.
"W-we can't get married."
"Why not? You have other arrangements?" Yoongi turned and glared at Jin.
