Hey! You've been wanting me to update this book? Here's your update.
I've been getting a lot of comments saying "oh, this is inaccurate!" and "oh, that's impossible because blah blah blah!" and "oh, this story has so many plot holes!"
And while I appreciate that you're reading my book and taking the time to comment...
Stop.
For the love of God, I know I'm not perfect. Besides, this is FANFICTION. It's not supposed to follow everything from the previous books!
If you're going to call me out on the things I did wrong, go right ahead. Do it in a CONSTRUCTIVE way. And leave me a comment saying I did something well, too!
There's so much negativity in the world. Why are you bringing more into it?
You say you want me to update the story faster? Well, your comments are making me want to update it even LESS. Because if you're only pointing out the things I do wrong, what's the point? You're just going to keep doing it, and I'm just going to keep feeling bad about myself.
I'm taking time out of my day to write this story. I'm doing it for FREE. I get no money out of it - I'm doing it for FUN. Of course, it's nice to get comments and feedback.
Here's what happens:
I see a notification saying I got a comment on this story. I feel happy! I feel excited! I read the comment... and that happiness turns to ashes in my mouth.
If you continue to disrespect me, I'm not going to continue the story. I know how it ends. I have a plan for what the prophecy means and how it is or is not fulfilled. I am the author. I control the story.
Not you.
So let me do what I want to do. Let me do what makes me happy. Let me write my story without seeing all this negativity on it.
Or, keep leaving the negative comments. Hate on me. Unfollow me. Block me. Deal with the wrath of the people who enjoy this story when I stop writing it because of you.
Don't be an asshole.
- Allison
