The black cruiser pulled up in front of a decent sized house in one of Chicago's nicer neighborhoods. Jon double checked the address they had for her, and this was it. They both exited the car and approached the door and knocked first. The door opened and a towering middle aged white man with black hair stood there in a three piece suit.

“May I help you?” the man spoke in a very articulated manner.

“Actually yes sir.” Jon began as he showed his badge. “We're with Chicago PD. Does a Victoria Hunt live here?” he questioned the gentleman.

“Yes she's my daughter,” the man looked shocked. “is she okay?” Cragen and Upton exchanged very uncomfortable looks and then Hailey turned to the man.

“Sir may we please come in.” her eyes were very sincere he stood aside and directed them to a couch in his living room.

“Please tell me what is going on?” Her father was getting more frantic. His face became pale and sweaty.“W-where's Vicky?”

“Mr. Hunt your daughter was found deceased last night.” Cragen began. “I am so sorry.” the man immediately began to sob. After a few minutes he was able to collect himself. He grabbed a photo album and started showing us photos.

“She was going to be a doctor like me. I'm a cardiologist” he began. “We've always been close. Her mother passed giving birth and I never remarried. She was all I had.”  Jon felt this mans loss personally. He never met his mom because she died giving birth to him. He also grew to follow in his fathers footsteps. When Jon lost his dad he also felt like he lost everything.

“Doctor Hunt do you have any idea who would want to hurt Vicky?” Upton asked heartfelt ”Did she have a boyfriend?”

“Vicky had so many friends. She was the kind of girl who who would make the worst situations better just by showing up. I don't think I have ever seen her ever have a disagreement with anyone. I would think it impossible for her to have enemies.” her father began. “As far as a boyfriend, I know she was very committed to her work. If she had a boyfriend she never introduced me or told me about him.”

“Okay is it alright if we take a look through Vicky's room. It could help us figure out what happened to her.” Upton asked the father for his consent.

“Sure Detectives anything you need.” the doctor responded. “I have no clue who would ever want to harm her.” Hunt showed the detectives upstairs to Vicky's room. “I'll be right downstairs if you need me. Her laptop and iPad don't have passwords and the closet safe combo is 12-31-26.”

“Thank you Doctor that is very helpful.” Cragen replied as the doctor closed the door. The duo went to work searching drawers, papers, boxes and electronics. Jon got down and looked under the bed and found a small pink tote with little hearts all over it. Inside were pictures of Victoria and this lanky tan guy. There were several polaroid photos of them together in scrubs. “Hey Upton check this out.” Jon fanned out the pictures on the bed. “The same guy is in all of these photos. Dad said she didn't have a boyfriend.” Then Hailey snatched a group photo off of the bed.

“Do you know who that is on the end?” she asked as she pointed to this pale blue-eyed, blonde white guy in maroon scrubs. She was acting like Jon knew everyone in Chicago after being here for barely a week.

“I don't know Dr. Gregory House?” Jon cracked wisely. Though he did have to admit the guy did look kinda familiar.

“No you jackass,” Hailey snapped back quickly. “That is Will Halstead. My partners brother.”

Everyone has returned to the squad room, including the search team from last night. Jon was relieved to see that Kim was safe, she looked exhausted though. She was wearing a black sport coat over a orange shirt, with some black dress pants. Her brunette hair was flowing down over her shoulders. Jon had brought up the evidence bag of photos and Hailey grabbed it out of his hand.

“Let me see if Jay knows who the guy is.” She explained herself to Cragen. The blonde walked over to the handsome male detective. “Hey Halstead do you know who this guy is in this photo with your brother?” Jay immediately looked caught off guard. If there is one thing anyone could say about Hailey Upton is that she did not pull any punches.

“Let me see that.” Jay pulled the picture gently from her fingers. “”That's definitely Will and the victim but I have no clue who that other guy is next to her.” he stammered.

“Then I guess its time you get your ass over to the hospital for a Halstead family reunion.” Voight chimed in from the doorway of his office “Upton you go with. Find out who this guy is because right now he is the only lead we have.” Then Voight turned and looked at Jon. “Cragen, you're coming with me to the ME's office. They have some information they think we will find interesting.” his stone gray eyes met Jon's, knowing he has made his fair share of trips to the NYC morgue.

The Sergeants black Suburban pulled up in front of the city's medical offices. The two walked into the lower level of the building. An assistant led them into a room where the Chief Medical Examiner was waiting.

“Hank, long time no see.” The black haired woman spoke sarcastically. She began to pull back the sheet on the exam table where the various pieces of Victoria's body laid out in order. “I called you down here because the perpetrator on this one is definitely dangerous. No signs of sexual assault, or forced penetration. The dismemberment was done antemortem, meaning the victim was still alive. They tortured this poor girl the fingers and toes were removed with bolt cutters. The rest of the amputations were done with precision using hand tools. So if I had to guess this is not our perps first time.” The medical examiner continued.

“How did no one hear this poor girl screaming?” Voight questioned.

“That's an excellent question Sergeant.” She said as she turned the decapitated head slowly away from us and pointed at what appeared to be a small injection mark at the base of her skull. Then she pulled out a manila folder and began to read. “Toxicology report shows large amounts of the amphetamine ketamine in her system. As well as a blood alcohol content of .05. Someone injected her with ketamine at the base of her skull enough to immobilize her but not kill her. Then she was dismembered and she felt it all. I am officially ruling this a homicide by matter of bleeding out.” Voight's phone began to ring. He reached down to his side and quickly pressed the green button.

“Voight.” he answered with his raspy voice. “Where? I'll be there in 15 minutes. Yeah, bye.” Voight turned to Cragen and the ME “You might be right. We have another vic with the same M.O. Just found in a park south of Med.” The look in Voight's eyes was one of disgust, the last thing his streets needed was a serial killer.
