After hours of walking and talking as they strolled through the park, a silence took over them. All that could be heard was their frosty breaths and the hushed footsteps they would make on the snow.
It was a peaceful kind of silence. They were content.
"This was fun, Jeno," Jaemin spoke up quietly, his hand grazing Jeno's as they walked.
"Yeah it was, but now I'm freezing," he replied with a small laugh, rubbing his hands together to create some sort of warmth.
"You should have worn gloves, here"
Jaemin intertwined his fingers with Jeno's and placed their hands in his pocket.
Jeno looked down, feeling his cheeks flush. He could practically hear his heart beating out of his chest.
"You didn't have to do that, I'm fine"
"It's the middle of winter, you have to stay warm," Jaemin replied sternly.
"Okay mother," he replied, teasing Jaemin.
The boy gave him a glance, untwining their hands while Jeno responded with a pout. He then proceeded to grab a handful of snow to throw at Jeno.
"Hey, that's cold!" He laughed, running away from Jaemin.
"You asked for it"
As Jaemin caught up to Jeno, he tackled him into the snow.
"Do you want me to freeze to death?" Jeno jokingly said, stopping once he realized their position.
Jaemin was on top of him, their faces inches apart. Jeno noticed him glancing at his lips for a split second and before they could get any closer, Jaemin got up, offering him a hand.
"Okay, we should probably make our way home now, which way do you live?"
Jeno shyly pointed in the direction of his house.
"I'll walk you home"
