After about an hour filled with tears and comfort, Jeno finally decided to confront Jaemin.

"Jaemin, can you seriously tell me what's wrong? I understand that it might be personal and I respect that if you're not ready, but I just want to help."

The boy took a shaky breath and began.

"Remember that night we went to the park?" Jeno nodded softly.

"Well after I got home, I came out to my dad. I wasn't sure how it was going to turn out as he always was judgemental but I was tired of keeping it all in." Jeno placed his hand on Jaemin's to reassure him.

"He wasn't very supportive, and he said a few insults, but it didn't get too violent so I didn't think it was that bad."

"Then, last night, he came home drunk. I haven't seen him that drunk in a long time, and honestly, I was scared. Whenever he would get that drunk, usually things would get violent."

"He hurt me. He started calling me so many hurtful names. 'Useless,' 'A mistake,' 'Just another faggot.' Then he took his beer bottle, smashed it on my head, and before I knew it, he told me to pack my bags." Jaemin dropped his head on Jeno's shoulder.

Jeno just held the boy for a minute, then brought his face up to meet his eyes.

"Jaemin, I'm so sorry, you don't deserve any of that. Listen, you are not useless, you are not a mistake, there is nothing wrong with you. You are beautiful inside and out, so please, don't listen to his lies. You can stay with me for a while. When you're ready, you'll be able to face your father and show him that you are not affected by his words and you will be your amazing self no matter what he says. Until that time comes, I will be with you every step of the way." Jeno held softly onto the boy's face for a moment before placing a gentle kiss on his nose.

Jaemin's eyes widened slightly at the gesture, letting a blush fall onto his cheeks. After hearing those words from Jeno, he felt relieved, happy that he was able to find such a loving person. He leaned into Jeno's touch, holding onto his hand.

"Thank you Jeno. That means a lot."
