I never knew what love was

Until I had to let you go.

In that moment I crumbled to the ground and fell apart.

And my tears like blood as they spattered onto the ground.

For I knew that the dagger of her absence must stay in my chest.

And my heart would not cease to bleed.

But it was better for me to go on drowning alone in an ocean of dark waters

Than to drag you down with me.

...

Now from the bottom of the sea I can hear you're laughter from above.

And knowing that you will go on living in happiness

Brings one last smile to my face

As the bubbles of my last breath slowly rise to the surface.
