"I am still sorry I could've checked my phone at least once. Or texted you to let you know what was happening. Something at least. I shouldn't of just left you like that when you're only trying to help." I let go of her hands and looked up at the ceiling disappointed in myself. You could of handled the situation so much better yesterday. I felt her hands move onto my stomach to gain my attention. Now is not the time for my inappropriate thoughts. "It's okay Vi. You were upset." I quickly shook my head not wanting it to be okay only because I was upset. "That should not be an excuse to make you worry all day or cry. And for that I am sorry. I really am." We made eye contact and I couldn't help but feel some sort of connection. A warm tingling feeling spread throughout my body but I couldn't help but think if she felt it too. I broke the eye contact and the tension and looked over at her clock. "Well we are going to be late, again." She shrugged and moved to get off of me to get ready for the day. Both of our heads looked over at the door when we heard a knock. "Hey girls just wanted to check in with you guys." I smiled and greeted Katie's mom, "Hey Melissa." She laughed and waved at me, "You do know you guys are late right?" Katie walked to the door putting on her shirt, "Yeah we know mom we are getting ready to leave now." Violet don't drool. Get your barrings back. Her mom nodded and close the door walking away. My thoughts were ruined when Katie threw her clothes in my face. "Wow was that really necessary?" Resist the urge to breathe deeply you fucking weirdo. I grabbed her clothes off my face making my hair stand up from the static. Katie couldn't help herself and bursted out laughing at my hair. I ran a hand through my hair getting out of bed going to walk past her, "Yeah yeah laugh all you want."
Without thinking I grabbed her arm and spun her into me. Her body was pressed close to mine. She immediately stopped laughing and I had noticed her breath hitched but I didn't say anything about it. Our eyes were locked and hers were wide. "Ain't laughing anymore are you." Accidentally speaking in a low husky voice. I had no control over my body anymore but I took Katie not moving as a good sign. Her lips are so close all I have to do is lean in a little bit. Breaking out of whatever trance had me and gaining control of my body I let go of Katie and backed up. Looking into Katie's eyes I thought I saw disappointment but it went away as quickly as I saw it. Without a word said I walked into her bathroom connected to her room and closed the door locking it. I leaned over the sink and took deep breaths replaying what just happened. If I would of stood there any longer I would of kissed her. I could of ruined everything right there. "What were you thinking," I said to myself while looking in the mirror. Shaking my head I changed into the clothes she gave me and brushed my teeth with the tooth brush I left here. After I made myself look decent I walked out and noticed Katie wasn't here.
I sighed and ran a hand through my hair disappointed in myself. I just bring destruction wherever I go. I grabbed my stuff off of her dresser and floor and walked down stairs to the kitchen. I saw Katie talking to her mom in what seemed like an intense conversation. I slowed my walk and heard the end of a sentence Katie was saying. "I just... I don't want to ruin anything you know. But the feeling is so strong and I swear for a moment..." I made myself known before she finished the sentence by clearing my throat. They both looked over and I smiled walking over and grabbing a fruit. "Violet how does that suffice you for the day?" Melissa said to me while shaking her head with a smile. I winked at her and said, "I can't get rid of my secret like that now can I?" She laughed and I walked over to give her a hug. "Alright mom see you after school." We broke our hug so Katie could kiss her cheek. We waved at her mom and walked to the door and stood outside. "Oh yeah you still have my car. We can take that then I'll drop you off after class?" Katie nodded and went back to grab my keys quickly before we walked to my car. On the ride there I had turned on the radio and Katie had her aux cord in and we were dancing to the music. When we got to school I couldn't help but notice that it looked so empty because everyone was either in class, in their cars, or in some sort of building. I turned off the car and we both got out. Once we were walking next to each other I spoke up, "So you ready to be the center of attention because we are late?" I chuckled at the end and looked over at Katie who was smiling, "I was born to be in the spot light." She flipped her hair right into my face and started laughing.
I raised my eyebrow at her and thought of something. Since we were close to the front doors I looked over at Katie, "Hey Kat could you put your stuff right there really quick?" She looked skeptical but put her stuff down and I set mine down next to hers. I quickly grabbed her thighs and threw her over my shoulder making her squeal in surprise. "Ahhh V-vi put me d-down." She was laughing so hard she couldn't talk while I walked a short distance away from our stuff. "Nope you flicked your hair in my face on purpose this is payback. Also I don't remember you being this light." I was slightly taller then Katie so I was able to pick her up and balance without having to worry about dropping her. She started to hit my back lightly and I swear I could hear her say quietly, "What a view." Wanting to mess with her I walked back to our stuff and said, "Enjoying the view back there?" I had a smirk on my face and laughed when I heard her say, "Wouldn't you like to know." I set her back down onto the floor and smiled at her. "Nice hair Kat very cute." Her hair was wild from being upside down. I grabbed my stuff and went inside knowing she was coming. "Wow just leave me out there what if I got kidnapped huh. It would of been all your fault because you left me." She poked my arm and I looked over seeing her smiling. I leaned down to kiss her cheek and grab her hand bringing her closer to me. I whispered in her ear, "You know I would never let anything happen to you." I kissed the crown of her head and heard her sigh. I felt her wrap her arms around my waist and say, "Yeah I know. I love you Vi." My heart starting beating so loudly I was hoping she couldn't hear it. Not the same love as I feel for you. I squeezed her hand and responded, "I love you too. Never forget that."
