Your P.O.V

We all have been worried about Shu. And me in particular. I stand in front of the huge temple,(Snake Pit) to be greeted by a booming voice.

"I AM ASHTEM. WELCOME TO THE SNAKE PIT."

The doors open as the hallway flooded with light.

"ENTER IF YOU DARE."

I step in, taking a bold move. If this was anything at all, it was intimidating. I see Shu standing there, further inside. Shu? That...He...That's not...him.

"Shu-"

He stops me with his arm.

"I am your guide around here. You must listen to me."

What has happened to him?

"Meanwhile, Ashtem would like to see you."

I know Ashtem as Theodore Glass. Whatever he plans is always such a pain to me. I then go into the elevator to the lowest floor.

"Don't be shocked by my mask. We have called you here to test your blading skills. Train throughout the week, and you will be tested afterwards."

I nod solemnly as Shu takes me to the training center.

"Shu, I really don't need all of this equipment..."

Bladers of all kinds panting and pushing themselves to the limit. Sweat dropping on the floor each second. It looks a little too much to me.

"I am Red Eye. If you do not wish to use these equipment, you must leave."

Anger boils down to the very bottom of my soul.

"You are NOT Red Eye!" I yell. "You can't make me believe and call you something you are not!"

Shu, or whatever he has become, flinches. "Fine."

I was speechless and confused. It was like someone had overtaken his soul. Does he not know that Ashtem is using him to find the ultimate bey? Shu's mask gleams red from the eyes.

"I hear your thoughts. I have plans of my own."

For once, it sounded like the truth.

"If we must talk, we must talk elsewhere."

He took my wrist and practically dragged my outside. We walk so deep into the forest I felt lost. On second thought, maybe I should've done the training instead. I try to think no more, as Shu can hear me anyway.

At last we step before the light, shining down on us. It was still morning, we had lots of time to talk. It turn to Shu to see what he had to say.
