Comfort

Your P.O.V

Half of Shu knows he's been deceived. I had to help him, to release him, It's too much for me to see him in the darkness like this- 

Shu shifts to the side and leaves. I have only one shot at this.

"Wait. Wait for me," I call out in hesitation. It would be my last sense of hope for him. The shadows gloom over me throughout the passageway. I needed more time with him. More of Shu, his love for me, my love for him. Shu was leaning on the side of the wall with his arms crossed. I tilted my head in confusion.

"I thought..."

"Train." He ordered, patient than ever. 

Shu's P.O.V

I feel intense, sharp pain as I try to fight the device of the mask worming its way in my head. Injecting commands that would use force. It takes all my willpower not to become a monster in front of (y/n) ,curse these masks. She picks up a machine while I watch her pull the string of rope, back and forth, against her will. Hours later, she collapses to the floor, breathing hard.

I let go of the fight with the mask. 

"You can leave if you think this is too hard."

(y/n)'s high-pitched voice shows a feeling for concern. It really takes it to a whole new level.

"Excuse me, leave you? What was the purpose of me traveling  here in the first place? I didn't take a 12-hour flight just to be sent home!"

I cut her off short. 

"Not here."

Two familiar voices spoke behind. 

"The weak cannot survive here. Only the strong can remain."

Silver eye. I needn't them to deal with my life. 

"Let her."

Silver eye grimaces with disgust.

"Who asked you?"

Silence.

"Let her do what her says. Red eye is her mentor, after all."

He finally backs down.

"Yes, Ashtem."

Your P.O.V

As soon as they left, Shu takes me outside. My hands find a place on his waist, and he gently takes off his mask.

"Shu."

I wrap my whole body around him. The strong muscles of his chest as I feel his heartbeat against mine. Tears fall delicately on the tips of his hair. All we really do is stand in the middle of the forest, trying to comfort each other.

Shu's P.O.V

I hug her back, one with comfort and kindness. She needs to know I'll be fine. There wasn't hack codes disrupting my brain now. I could be free. The only reason I still have the real side of me is because of her.

Your P.O.V

We rush back together, hands interlocked. I went to see Theodore then, letting go of Shu. He turns around, with sleek eyes that cut deep into your heart. He was extremely intimidating. I took a deep breath, mustered up all the strength left inside of me and hoped.
