"Wow, Shumai... you're so nice." Kokichi snickered.

"Aack! Kokichi!" I yell, and motioned him to shoo.

Kokichi saw my gesture, and huffed. "You're no fun," he said as he shuffled away. I heard Shuichi chuckle.

"Huh?" I turn around.

Shuichi stopped chuckling and smiled. "Kaede, you just stood up to me. I owe you one."

WHAT?!?!?!?!??

"You... owe me one?" I repeat.

"Yeah. For helping us keep our cover secret." Then he stared at me, wearing a serious face. "No one should know about this."

Then, the door burst open.

"Shuichi, you love Kaede and never told Kokichi! You owe him an apology!" Tsumugi threw an accusatory finger at Shuichi while at the same time Kokichi was weeping and laying on the floor. "I need to hear it, I won't leave until you do!"

"L-love Kaede? Since when did you know that?" Shuichi protested.

"Kokichi told me!" Tsumugi retorted.

I knew Shuichi didn't have anything else to say, so I stepped up. "Typical Kokichi! He's a snitch, and lies, so you have to assume he always lies!"

Tsumugi dropped her accusatory finger and stroked her chin. "Hmm, true point!"-- She then faced Kokichi. --
"Kokichi, are you lying to me?"

"NOOOOOOOOOOOO!" he wailed.

Tsumugi blinked. "Are you sure?"

"NOOOOOOOOOOOO!" he wailed.

Tsumugi hissed. "You better not be lying."

"NOOOOOOOOOOOO!" he wailed.

"Can you not say 'no' all the time?" Shuichi angrily asked.

"NOOOOOOOOOOOO!" he wailed.

Typical Kokichi...

Tsumugi turned around again. "I have no idea who to believe! Kokichi may be lying, but what if it's true? You do always cling around Kaede..." She pointed at me. "So, I still want your apology! From both of you, this time!"

Kokichi stopped wailing and sat on his knees. "Both of us? But Kaede took my boyfrieeeendddddd!" He sobbed again.

"Did not!" I yelled.
"Did too!" yelled Kokichi.
"Did not!"
"Did too!"
"Did not!"
"Did too!"

"Alright! I'm sorry, Koki-"
"SHUMAI, SHE TOOK YOU AWAY FROM MEEEEE!" he wailed.

"She didn't!" Shuichi yelled back.

This quarrel seemed to go on for hours and hours...
until...
finally...
I felt... heavy.

The left side of me felt heavy, that is.

I heard screams of my name, and sobbing.

And... muffled snickering.
Kokichi...

The sad truth is...
I was on the floor.

I suddenly collapsed on the floor during their quarrel. I felt light, then I felt impact towards my sides.
I felt pain.

I wasn't the one who felt pain as well.
Shuichi felt it too...
...and despair...
