Sleepover: Chapter 4

"It's okay if I'm in the rain," Oikawa chuckled and started to walk the other direction, but Y/n grabbed his wrist and pulled him in. "You are not going to walk for 30 minutes in the rain," Y/n warned like a mother goose. Oikawa nodded and Y/n took him inside the house.

"If the rain doesn't stop then I advise you to spend the night. I can wash your uniform for tomorrow," Y/n offered and extended her hand out for Oikawa to hand her his dirty uniform. He shook his head in denial.

"Are you sure? Aren't your parents going to get mad that a boy you just met is going to spend the night?" Oikawa asked worriedly. Y/n nodded and smiled, "My dad works late so you're fine," she stated and forcefully took his dirty uniform and threw it into the washer.

"And your mom?"

"We don't talk about that," Y/n sighs then smiles at him, "You can shower upstairs, I have some spare clothes that you can fit I think," she then starts pushing his back to guide him upstairs. Before he could say anything, she gave him a towel and pointed down the hallway, "The last door to the right. I'm going to be making dinner, so behave," y/n warned then went downstairs.

"She didn't even give me a chance to deny the offer," Oikawa uttered under his breath. He looked behind him and saw a boy that looked too familiar. "Y/N!!!" He shouted in fear and Y/n came as fast as she could.

"HOW MANY BOYS DO YOU INVITE HERE?!!" He latched onto her like a clingy, scared child. Y/n laughs at him and looks at the boy he's screaming at.

"Oikawa-kun calm down, that is Tobio...my little brother," she glared at Kageyama and stuck her tongue at him. Oikawa looked at them both and saw the resemblance, "Oh okay...well I'm going to hop in the shower," he said then entered the bathroom.

"Why is he here?" Kageyama said angrily.

"He offered to walk me home and it's raining so I offered him to sleepover for the night." Y/n said then flicked Kageyama's forehead. "Dad isn't coming home tonight, so help me with dinner,"

Oikawa splashed water on his face after his shower. The bathroom is cute and it's decorated with flowers and pictures. He paid attention to the decoration and found a certain picture with the whole family. A lady holding Y/n in her arms and a man holding Kageyama on his shoulders. They are in front of a cabin and it looks like they had fun. He found a hidden picture underneath the seat, but before he could reach it a knock came from the door.

"I forgot to give you earlier," Y/n opened the door and is greeted with a half-naked Oikawa. Oikawa cocked a brow at her because she scanned him up and down then looked up at the ceiling. "Sorry for barging in," she said quite calmly, but her face was red. She handed him the clothes then walked out of the bathroom, slamming the door shut. Oikawa just chuckled to himself and started changing, "She's something else."

"Tobio you idiot why is it burnt! It's a stir-fry, the easiest thing to make!" She scolded and had to remake the batch he butchered.

"I thought that it has to be crispy," Tobio deadpanned Y/n and watched her rush the dinner again.

"Crispy and burnt are total opposites!" She scolded again and sighed, "I'm going to teach you how to cook so your significant other doesn't have to do everything their self,"

"You're such a critic Y/n," Oikawa said as he made his way downstairs and helped Y/n cook. Before he could pat her head, Kageyama slapped his hand quite harshly, "Do not touch my sister," he threatened.

Y/n looked at Kageyama with furrowed eyebrows, "Kageyama don't be so harsh to our guest," she scolded and shot a glare to Kageyama then apologized to Oikawa.

"I've only touched you sister's waist, nothing else," he teased which angered Kageyama

"I'm going to fucking kill you!" Kageyama yelled and began to get his fist ready to punch Oikawa, but before they could do anything Y/n grabbed them by the ears.

"You two better stop! Go wait outside in the pouring rain until you two get along or stop fighting!" Y/n scolded and pushed them outside into the pouring rain with an umbrella. Y/n then locked the door and continued with dinner.

"Sheesh, she still acts like mom," Kageyama uttered out.

"Why doesn't Y/n talk about your mom?"

"She passed when Y/n was 14 and I was 10. Mom was quite abusive to Y/n, but Y/n wasn't quite bothered by it. She just looked up to Mom more every time she got in trouble," Kageyama chuckled. "I can't be sad though that our Mom is gone though since Y/n is a visual representation of her every time she scolds me,"

Oikawa looked at Kageyama and held the umbrella up more to avoid the rain, "My condolences," Kageyama nods at his answer and then sighs. "So, why are you so protective of your sister?"

"Because I hate you," Kageyama glared at Oikawa. "But, also because she lets people walk over her easily,"

"I know," Oikawa said quite bitter. He then started chuckling, "She's so strict for someone that gets walked over on,"

Kageyama smiled slightly at Oikawa, "That's one thing we could agree on," he then grabbed Oikawa by the collar and yanked him to his eye level, "Hurt Y/n, my older sister, and I will personally kill you. I mean it." Kageyama threatened.

Y/n opened the door and is greeted with them still fighting. Well, it seemed like it. She glared at them both and Kageyama let go of Oikawa. Oikawa smiled innocently.

"Do you want me to take the umbrella?" She warned and glared at them both. They both shook their heads and they walked into the house and are greeted with the smell of heaven.

Time skip after dinner

"Hey, Tobio can you..." Y/n said but Kageyama already left the table before she could finish.

"Rude teenagers am I right?" Oikawa got up and helped Y/n clean up the table. Y/n chuckled at his words and started on the dishes.

"You should check on your mom," Y/n said and Oikawa followed.

"Okay I'll be right back, I'm going to call her," He chimed and Y/n nodded at him. Once he left the kitchen to go outside, Y/n sighed quite loud and tears formed on the corners of her eyes. She didn't know what got to her, but she started to silently sob.

"Y/n are you okay?" Oikawa asked as he went down the stairs. She wiped her tears and smiled at him quickly, "Yeah I'm fine!" she chimed and clasped her hands together. He realized that she finished cleaning by herself.

"Y/n...you shouldn't have finished everything by yourself,"

"Sorry, it's a habit!" She sighed and wiped her hands then led Oikawa upstairs. "You can sleep in my room. Sorry if it's a bit messy, I didn't expect anyone staying in," she teased and smiled at him.

"I can sleep in the living room," he offered, but Y/n denied. "My brother will kill you in your sleep. I advise that you don't sleep anywhere besides my room." Oikawa nodded and Y/n opened her door for them to walk in.

"Why do you have two beds Y/n?" Oikawa asked and inspected the two beds. One was blue and one was green. It had soft comforters and a button to warm up the bed. "Waaa so cool! You have warmers,"

"My brother and I used to sleep in the same room when we were little," Y/n chuckled at Oikawa's astonishment. "I just kept the bed in case of a sleepover,"

"Lucky you did. I couldn't imagine myself sleeping on a floor," Oikawa said then flopped onto the green bed.

Y/n turned on a lamp to make the room glow with stars, "My room is a bit childish, sorry about that," Y/n chuckled nervously and got into bed.

Oikawa smiled at the glowing stars and snorted, "I thought I was childish, but this does remind me of my room," he shuffled around and faced Y/n's way. Y/n did the same and smiled at him. "I'm into astrology, so I used to love stars and space...and aliens,"

Y/n started laughing and Oikawa was getting offended. "I'm sorry but, you're such a dork," she said and her laughter died down. "Good night Oikawa," she smiled then faced the other way to sleep.
