Cleaning: Chapter 11

"Mhm...you got a lot of explaining to do."

"What do you mean?" Y/n questioned while taking out her textbook for geometry and placing it on her desk neatly, flipping through the pages.

"Why did you try to skip class?" Iwaizumi questioned while the teacher was explaining when the next quiz is

"Got in trouble by a teacher and then spilled grape Fanta on my shirt,"

"X equals..." Oikawa pondered to himself as he was writing on the board in front of the class. Snickers wafted around the room.

"Can't believe the supposedly hot guy in school is a dumbass." States Mei, Oikawa's childhood best friend.

"Shut up Mei, you're in this class too!" he snapped back while he pondered over the answer. 

Chalk particles fell off the board a the brunette was writing excessively on the chalkboard. Some would say that he drew little comics to help his answer or theory make sense (I wonder why). This action caused chalk smears to appear on his perfect outfit.'

"15.048920489! Got it!"

"Wrong."

"That's why you smell like shit, huh?"

"Thanks?" Y/n shifted in her seat, quite surprised that Iwaizumi seemed all snappy when she arrived. He usually treats her with respect, but not today at least. 

"Is this about Oikawa?" Y/n whispered to Iwaizumi during the lecture.

"I don't hold grudges against other arguments, Y/n. Why were you late to class?"

Y/n's face flushed light pink once she thought of what happened. She huffed slightly then jerked her pencil towards Iwaizumi, to show that she was being "serious" towards him. "Got in trouble and spilled Fanta," she muttered again, her answer less specific than her first.

Iwaizumi looked at Y/n with his olive-colored eyes (his natural eye color from the manga I think... I might be wrong) and cocked a brow at her with disbelief. It was obvious that he could see through her lie when he stifled a chuckle while maintaining a serious aura. 

"Did at least credit the Japanese Rom-com for your excuse?" He smiled slyly at her, knowing that he could break the lie and make her reveal the truth. He knows that he's slowly teasing Y/n so that she could break.

"Why do you care?" Y/n rolled her eyes at him and tried to end the discussion by flipping through her geometry book, but she knew well that Iwaizumi wouldn't let go of her that easily. Y/n always wondered why the boys were so protective of her. Do they pity her since she is someone to easily step on? Y/n can't put her finger on it, but she found something interesting about Oikawa and Iwaizumi. 

They both don't tolerate lies. Once they spot a lie, they will try their best to reveal the truth. Oikawa is straightforward by just telling someone that they're lying. Iwaizumi will slowly let the person tell the truth, but it's obvious that he knows that they're lying. He does this so that the person can try to convince him that they weren't lying. Summary: Don't lie.

"Not even going to defend yourself and say that you did spill Fanta? Wow, I was actually going to believe you if you did," he said and shook his head at Y/n. He only got an obviously annoyed sigh from Y/n as a response. Iwaizumi might be nosy, but he just feels concerned for Y/n.
