"Where is it?!" The chocolate haired boy asked in frustration. His anger and frustration got the best of him, so his classmates were too frightened to answer him.
"Oikawa-senpai, calm down! I'm sure that..."
"You're not sure! My life will end if I don't turn that paper in," he cried out loud and lashed out at his Junior. He bowed quickly, as a form of an apology to his Junior, "S-sorry! I'm just really frustrated," he sighed and sat down.
Oikawa Tooru, one of the most popular athletic boys in Aoba Josai. He just lost a paper that filled out his contract for volleyball. He can't go to practice without it, so he's panicking right now.
He began searching for every class, but no luck in the last class. He clenched onto his shirt as a sign of self-loathing. Walking down the hall after-school, he was ready to accept that his future is over. Today was the last day to turn it in, and he didn't. The club is already starting. He accepted to just skip practice, which is highly unlikely of him.
He began sprinting in the hallways to ease his mind off. Then a voice distracted him from all of his thinking and worrying. It was a belting of words, then a soothing siren sound. He followed this sound and was in front of the choir door. It was closed, but a little crack creaked opened. He bent down a little and peaked into the crack, only to see a girl singing her heart out and reading a paper. His heavy breathing caught her attention and he stepped back when she stopped singing to look. Quickly covering his mouth, he backed away from the door so she wouldn't have caught him.
He's happy that she shrugged it off. It would've made him look like a creepy stalker. "Wait," he uttered out under his breath. Oikawa hasn't looked for his paper in this class. He stood straight up, ready to burst into the classroom. The girl already stopped singing and started to look through papers, maybe she could help him.
"Uhm, sorry to interrupt," Oikawa walks into the club, expecting countless of members staring at him, but it was just that girl. Her hair was tied back with a scrunchie, but some of her h/c hair stuck out in a cute way. Her e/c eyes met with his light brown ones.
"Oh that's okay," she chuckled a little. "There are no members today, only the president," she groaned and began to shuffle through papers. "Oh, you're the athletic boy, right?" Y/n asked him, tilting her head. He nodded, quite confused. "Here," she shoved a paper into his arms. "This paper must belong to that Oikawa Tooru guy that all the girls talk about. He's in another division, so I don't see his face much," she rambled. "O-oh! Sorry I keep rambling, I guess this happens whenever your members try to skip," she then sighed.
The boy then started scanning the paper then his eyes widened with happiness when she said it was his paper. It's his contract. He hugged her tight then let go. She didn't know how to react, but she didn't say anything. "This was the contract I was searching everywhere for! You're a goddess," he chimed and clasped his hands together, "uhh, how could I repay you?"
"Ah thank you! You don't need to repay me," the girl waved her hands in denial.
That phrase didn't shake the boy at all, "How about a cafè that's near the train station here after-school?"
"Uh.." Y/n couldn't find a way to decline since the boy looks too happy. She nodded her head, "Sure! Sounds like a plan," she clasped her hands together and smiled at him.
"My name is Oikawa Tooru,"
"F/n L/n,"
Y/n introduced herself with a polite bow. "So were you the one panting outside my door?"
"Eh?! You heard?" Oikawa stepped back in embarrassment and scratched the back of his neck. She stood up and started to close the piano, "What brought you here in the first place?"
"I lost my volleyball contract and I couldn't find it. Without it, I can't go to my volleyball practice. I was sprinting and I hear this beautiful voice from the hallway and I followed it, which led me to you," Oikawa simply states. Y/n smiles at him for thanks at the compliment.
"Since you have it, you should go to your practice," she winks at him and his eyes widen in a realization. "Oh my god, Y/n-san you're right!" He exclaims to her and begins to exit, "Thank you so much! Don't forget about tomorrow!" He says then finally exits the room.
She waves goodbye to him then sighs when he left. "Wish he stayed a bit more...the company was nice," Y/n groaned, then continued to do her club activity by herself. It was honestly sad to watch.
Meanwhile in the gym...
"I think I haven't done this many since 2nd year," Oikawa whined on the bench after doing 100 sprints up and down the campus' hill.
"Oi, it's your fault for trying to skip!" Hajime slaps Oikawa's shoulder and sits on the bench with him and the rest of the team.
"At least I got the contract!" Oikawa cried out to Hajime and took another sip of water.
"Where did you find it?" The spiky hair asked.
"Well in the-"
Oikawa and the whole team were interrupted when the gym doors slammed open.
