Jaime
"Are my braincells still here?"I whispered to myself as I stared at my locker with my mouth opened ajar for no absolute reason.

"Was the test hard?"

Huening Kai's voice brought me back to reality, I flinched and looked at him while blinking a couple of times.

Without hesitation I answered "Yes."

I'm glad that the examination we just finished is the last one for the whole period of finals.

I'm wasted as hell, I can't remember the last time I slept early and soundly, I have been staying up all night for the whole week of exams with my eyes peeled
open.

I may sound disgusting, but the hell do I give a single flip. My eyeballs are redder than my menstruation, I look like I'm on drugs.

"Smile now, It's done!"He touched both the corner of my lips to forcefully curve it into a smile.

I laughed at his actions and then opened my locker as he removed his hands from my lips.

My smile quickly faded away as I realized that I'll be leaving soon, and when I meant soon, I mean next month.

"You look disgusting when you frown."Huening Kai tried lifting my spirits up at the thought of my sudden realization.

I smacked him on his chest and muttered "shut up."

Silence took over us as we both stared at each other in awkwardness, I placed my things inside of my locked before shutting it close.

"So have you entered for Harvard or Stanford yet?"

"I already did, I passed."

"Why didn't you tell me then?"I cooed and pouted

"First off, don't do that you look like an idiot."He pointed at my pouting face that soon faded away being replaced by an unimpressed expression.

"Second, I don't need to tell you everything, It also breaks my heart everytime I hear those words because it's lowkey a reminder that we won't see each other for a long time."

"We have technology, for what I know you're smart."

"What does that have to do with our conversation?"

"I know you're smart enough to know that we can still communicate through technology, although it doesn't hit different as personal communication could, it still works."

"Even smart kids are dumb as hell sometimes, plus my parents limit me from using technological devices, they say it just ruins my mind."

"You have really strict parents, don't you?"

He snickered "Don't I? Sometimes I feel like Cinderella just minus the chores and stuff like that"

(if you get the joke, congratulations you passed the vibe check.)

"Your parents abuse you?"

"What? no! I never even said that."

"Cinderella's stepmother abuses her, so it comes with the package of you using Cinderella in your sentence."

"I— Ok."He gave up explaining and just pursed his lips.

"I don't know, you seem more of an Aurora to me."

"You sleep much more than I do and I'm only a month older, Speak again."

"I do not, I'm productive at night!"

He wheezed at my exclamation "You snore, Jaime."

I frowned as my head turned into a tomato in embarrassment.
