Some of our employees and a couple other people crowded around a table because there was a little girls party going on

see with parties you have to be extra careful and perfect because we don't want one star or two star reviews that would get this place shut down

then two Blue skinned elves known as Ian and Barley Lightfoot walked in how do i know them you ask

first and I know him because I go to his high school I'm one grade above him

two Barley I know him because well their videos on the Internet of him but I know him as my next-door neighbor if you think I'm joking you can but I'm not he's my next-door neighbor and so is Ian

Anyway they looked unpleased like they were hoping for something but didn't find it and now that you mention it or I mention it there was another person walking behind them with a hat sunglasses and one of those weird sweater looking things you know the ones that fishers wear and gloves?

Weird combination of clothing may be a gardener maybe he just got back from work probably explains why he's slouching like that

"OK OK so the Tavern changed a little bit over the years but the manticore is the real deal" barley said

Ian was looking around at the tables and then the crane game which this one boy could never get the hang of doesn't he know they're all rigged waste of your money if you ask me

" Madame I request an audience with the manticore" barley said in kind of a warrior tone if that makes sense

" oh of course m'lord oh manticore" she said she blow a horn and the mascot of the tavern ran out instead of the real manticore that's probably what they were expecting anyway 

"Heheheheheheheheheh" The mascot manticore said or laughed running up to Barley Ian and the mysterious man

It ran up to Ian and started tickling him and then hugged him why barley was trying to snatch Ian back away barley ended up winning

"No n-n-n-n-no The real manticore The fearless adventure" barley said wanting the actual thing instead of a mascot

I decided to bud in

" all right all right Emily I got this go back to work please you to Ethan" Emily started helping another table in need of more drink and Ethan started bothering other people

(By the way Ethan is the mascot)

" all right barley Ian you said you were looking for the real manticore right?" I said

"Yes milady we need to find her so she can give us the map so we can find a phoenix gem"barley said

" well of course Aunt Cory! Some people need you!" I said

" wait wait you're related to the manticore" Ian said

" yeah believe it or not I am related to the manticore the fearless adventure and owner of this tavern" i said

" someone please help me! These nuggets were supposed to go out Minutes ago!"She said two other elves helped her with the dishes as she kept panicking

" that's the manticore?" Ian said baffled at what he was seeing
