Stuck with Him (Metal Bat OPM)

Chapter 11

The day spent with Metal Bat, Zenko and Aizawa was probably the best thing that happened to Ai. It feels like a family that she used to have before. She didn't plan to call it as a day earlier than she thought when Metal Bat received a call from the Hero Association which he needed to attend the emergency meeting. 

"Are you sure you're fine by yourself?" Asked Metal Bat worried about her since City Z is quite far from here. Plus, with the news he received about the Hero Hunter has escaped.

"Yeah, I'm good. By the way, I have Ruby with me. Oh! Talking about Ruby, I need to find her at the playground first. She's like a kid when she sees a playground." Ai sighed, thinking on how to ask Ruby to come home.

"Or perhaps... you want to stay for awhile at my house? Zenko will be not too lonely while I'm on duty." He said sheepishly, scratching his neck.

Ai was surprised with his offer. That was her first time a guy inviting her to his house. However, she didn't think it was a bad idea to stay at his house for a while since she noticed how sad Zenko was when she needed to say goodbye to her.

"I-I... I would love to.." Ai answered nervously, looking away.

Metal Bat's face lightened up hearing her answer. "Really? Then, I will tell Aizawa he doesn't need to bring her home." 

"Ah yes.. but before that, I need to find Ruby first." 

"Sure, I will tell Zenko about that." He said, smiling. Then, he went inside to Baskin Robbin and went to Aizawa and Zenko who was eating her 3rd cup of ice cream with her gloomy face. 

Ai watched from the outside of the shop, looking at the siblings. She saw Metal Bat tell her something and her mood suddenly lightened up while Aizawa sighed in relief as he freed himself from the job babysitting Zenko. 

Zenko then looked outside and she immediately saw Ai was still there, waving at her. She then quickly jumped off from the chair and went outside, hugging her beloved hero. 

"Ai-oneechan! Niichan said you will be staying at our home tonight, is it true?" She asked with her sparkling eyes. 

"Stay? N-No, I will accompany you until he has returned home." Ai corrected her. 

"Aww man..... if like that, then tomorrow you need to come to my home too! I have a lot of things I want to do with you." Zenko said pouting, like a kid talking to her mother.

Ai thought for a while about her request until someone interrupted her. 

"Zenko, you know her place is far from us right? It might be troublesome for her, especially dealing with the monster at City Z." Metal Bat said, picking up his sister. 

"B-But tomorrow is Saturday. No school and.. Oniichan must be busy with hero duty..." Zenko said, sadly. 

Metal Bat felt bad for his sister. With the current situation a lot of things happened. All heroes were needed to defend the city. He couldn't rely too much on Aizawa because he needs his own time too. 

"Then, I will come to your house tomorrow! Ruby and I also don't have any plans to do tomorrow." Ai said, and the two of them looked at her in unison. 

"R-Really?!" Zenko asked, and Ai nodded her head happily. 

"YEAYYY I LOVE YOU SO MUCH ONEECHAN!" Zenko cheered happily and jumped off from her brother. 

"What are we waiting for? We need to find Ruby first, right? Then, let's go!" Zenko said, grabbing Ai's hand, dragging her away from the scene.

"E-Eh!"

While she was being dragged by Zenko, she took a quick glance at Metal Bat, mouthing to him 'Be careful'. Metal Bat caught what she was saying and he smiled like an idiot there. 

Jeez.. you really drive me crazy Ai, Metal Bat thought. 

"Tch young love." Aizawa interrupted. 

"Jealous?" Metal Bat smirked and just received an eye roll from Aizawa. "You better move your ass now before the Hero Hunter shit comes and make a scene." 

"I know, old man."

"Ruby, come on! We need to go now!" Zenko trying to drag Ruby away from the slide. "No! I still want to play! Hmph!" She tightens her mouth harder as she bite the slide's pole while Zenko pulls her tail.

"Oh dear…" Ai sighed as she watched them. Ai had an idea to cast a spell on Ruby that she would float inside a bubble and put her to sleep because if she let her play till she was exhausted, it might be necessary to sleep at the playground. 

She looked around before casting the spell. It will be troublesome if someone sees her doing these magic stuff in public. The attention and the Hero Association. She hates them so much. 

"Here we go…" Ai said as she was sure there's no one in the area at the moment. Little did she know, she was being spied on. 

'So that's her power? Pretty lame.' 

"Stinger, any updates?" 

"Yeah, I found her. I'll send the location now." 

"Good job, man. Now, just to make sure to keep an eye on her. We'll come to you now." 

"But we have a problem here. She is not alone."

"And who is that?" 

"A little girl. She seems close to her-!" 

Before he could finish the report, a very quick attack launched on him. He barely dodged the attack because it was so quick and he didn't hear anything coming at him. When he looked up, it was the person they were looking for. 

"If you expose me, I will make you silence forever."
