Miguel and Ella

This time, we are not competing. 

This time we are a team

The whole morning Eunice and Ram discussed about our projects and deadlines. Medyo marami pala talaga silang ginagawa every week. I'm pretty sure web team ang pinakabusy na department sa marketing company na ito. Technology is upgrading almost every month and people in the universe uses their smartphones to connect to their family and friends

Malaking bagay ang world wide web and social media and truthfully, it's a part of who we are now

Binigay ni Eunice yung access namin for our website. Me and Miguel started scrolling. Marami ng drafts na created by Eunice lahat pero she'll change it daw sa name ko later.

"Migs and Ella, you two will be working a lot together" Eunice said "I can see that you have perfect chemistry naman and the fire around  you both is burning" she said and I can't even understand 

I just looked at Eunice and tumawa ng malakas si Ram

"Wait, Eun, hindi pa ata sila nagiintroduce sa isa't-isa" Ram said

"Uhmm.. We know each other already" I replied

"Eh?" Eunice reacted "speed ka don ha"

"Uhm no" I replied and nagkatinginan si Ram and Eunice tapos they both looked at me "blockmates kami sa Marketing School"

"Ahhhhh" Eunice and Ram reacted

"Perfect! Wala ng masyadong adjustment na magaganap" Ram said "Eun, I think we can do this"

"I'm pretty sure we can do this, we have a great content team" She grinned at us

Miguel looked at them and he looked at me then balik na ulit sa harap ng PC niya

Hindi ko rin ito gets minsan e. Tuwing tinitignan niya ako feeling ko jinajudge niya ko e

May araw rin itong si Miguel sa akin

Lunch break and iniwan na agad kami nina Eunice and Ram sa glass container na ito. Hindi man lang nila kami niyakag maglunch

"S-saan ka kakain?" I asked Miguel

"Sa pinggan siguro" he replied pero he didn't look at me 

"Nakikipagjoke ba ako sayo?"

"You asked me kung saan ako kakain" he looked at me "saan ba dapat ako kumain?"

"I mean, saan? Sa cafe? Sa labas ng office?"

He moved his chair to face me and crossed his arms "why are you asking?"

"Kasi sasabay ako"

"Close ba tayo?" he asked

I rolled my eyes "kung ayaw mo di wag. Dami dami mo pa sinasabi" I replied and locked my PC tapos tumayo na ako. I was about to take a step forward pero he stopped me

"Wala naman akong sinabi na ayaw kitang kasabay maglunch diba?"

I sighed "alam mo Miguel, wala akong time to share funny jokes with you. If I asked you a question, sumagot ka ng maayos. Nasasayang oras ko" I am fuming right now. First day ko sa trabaho tapos si Miguel unang makakasalamuha ko?

May hindi ata ako nasave na buhay nung past life ko kaya ganito

Bigla siyang tumayo and locked his PC

"Let's go eat sa cafe, gutom lang yan" he said and walked away from me

Tapos in the end, feeling ko, ako pa yung villain dito

Walang tao sa cafe nung dumating kami. Mukhang hindi nakain dito yung mga employees eh.  Miguel and I looked at the menu and fucking fuck? Set Lunch 250 pesos? Rice, ulam and free soup?

"May ginto ba pagkain dito?" I whispered kay Miguel. He looked at me and chuckled

"Gusto mo ba sa labas na lang tayo kumain?" he asked, whispering too

"Sige" I replied and he nodded

I realized, this is the first time na nagkasundo kami sa isang bagay. I mean, isang mabilisang pagdedesisyon between me and him. During marketing school, everytime na nagiging partners kami sa isang presentation, inaabot ng 3 araw bago namin makuha yung perfect chemistry energy para sa magandang reporting.

Sa isang fast food chain na lang kami kumain, few blocks away from the office

"So, tell me, what are you doing sa peaches? Diba you are working with Senior Karl? Diba meron kayong marketing firm?"

"Haven't you heard?"

"Ang alin?"

He looked at me "never mind. Kumain kana lang muna" he replied

Ayos rin siya kausap ano? I am asking kasi hindi ko alam pero hindi naman niya ako sinagot. Sayang lang yung effort ko asking him

We are inside the elevators and there are few employees sa likod namin. They are talking about something. Chismisan agad after lunch? Ibang klase

"Diba siya yung isa sa founder nung illegal na marketing firm? Bakit siya nandito?" someone asked

"I have no idea. Dami rin naloko nila, I cannot believe may mukha pa siyang pinapakita sa marketing industry"

"Sure ka bang siya yan?"

"I think yes. Tignan mo nga ID niya kung Miguel Hernandez"

Illegal na marketing firm?

I looked at Miguel and he's just standing straight and parang walang naririnig. Suddenly someone stood beside him and trying to look at his ID

I immediately flipped his ID para yung likod yung kita. Nagulat yung tumabi sa kanya and bumalik na agad sa likuran namin

Nagkatinginan kami ni Miguel "may dumi" I said. Still holding his ID then biglang nagbukas yung elevator sa floor namin and sabay na kaming lumabas.

"Illegal na Marketing Firm?" I asked him whispering "Paanon naging illegal firm niyo ni Senior Karl?" 

He just looked at me 

"Migs?" I asked

"You can let go of my ID now, everyone's looking at us" he said

Then I looked around and yes, everyone's eyeing us including Eunice and Ram

"Ah ahahahahha" I laughed and let go of his ID and immediately walked inside our operations
