4: I'm Done With This Class

We simply got a letter with a few sentences on it, telling us which of the hero classes I would be in based on score and some of the most controversial rules like 'No bringing outside members into school unless it is an emergency' and 'Do not climb on the lockers, equipment, or school without permission from your homeroom teacher'.

There was another sheet which was for everything I needed uniform-wise and another sheet for my hero costume. With narrowed eyes, I decided to go with the costume that Kenzi made for me when I was younger.

I let my permanent smile grow slightly as I remembered it. Kenzi and I had gotten into a fight when our parents were with Kani to talk to the school board after one of his classmates ripped his gloves with his quirk and Kani's multiplied him, the tables around them, the chairs, that one lone cup on the desk, and Kani's own pants.

I pouted as I was pushed into the hall. I fell flat on my back with an 'oomph!' as my older brother pushed me down next to me twin.

I stared up with a grin on my face. Our little sisters were in their room, taking a nap since their two-year-old bodies couldn't help but sleep most of the time. Sometimes it was great, but they were always a handful when Kiara woke up and wanted to play dolls.

Either way, I got bored since Kenzi was hiding. That meant I went out to find him, only to figure out he had taken refuge in the washing machine.

About two minutes later, we were fighting and tumbling. A minute after that, the twins started screaming. Thirty seconds later, they quieted down. Ten seconds after that, Kylo stormed in–full on Mama-Bear mode–and grabbed the both of us and shoved us onto the floor.

"You two want to be heroes, right?" Kylo asked, his wise nine-year-old brain pulled up and into a starting position.

Together, Kenzi and I nodded.

"Heroes don't make little children cry, do they?" he raised a brow and I flinched.

"Sorry, Lo," we said in sync. He just sighed and shook his head, lighting up as he grabbed something from the counter. I tilted my head. What was that?

He placed a stack of printer paper in front of us and put three boxes of crayons on top of that.

"Heroes all have hero costumes. Remember they have to work well with your quirk and they don't have to be flashy. Uh, what's that one pro-hero called? Oh yeah, Eraserhead! I'm not too sure about him, seeing as I only heard from a classmate and got curious, but he's an underground hero. He can temporarily delete someone's quirk."

I shivered, eyes wide. "Will it ever come back?!"

Kylo scratched his head. "Temporarily means that it'll be gone for a while but not forever. I read that his eyes turn red or something so he has goggles to hide them so villains don't notice. Since his quirk isn't physical, he has a scarf for a weapon that works really well."

I bounced up, eyes gleaming as I looked at my twin. In sync, we said, "I'll make you the best costume ever!"

I gave a little sigh as I remembered the exact details of the suit. I had modified it a little, but I kept the original picture laminated in a picture frame.

I winced at the memories and the smile on my face felt heavy, but I gazed up at the picture and made sure to copy everything down, only changing sizes to some of it and adjusting to others.

I finished sending off my few extra requests before I put it back in the envelope and sent it to UA High.
