"Twila ,wake up honey. It's 7:30 am already. Won't you be late for school?"
"Coming mom."
"Breakfast is ready. Come down, your sister is ready for school."
"Yeah mom. "
Hi!! I'm Twila Baker, and this is how my mornings usually begins-- with the roaring sound of the alarm and the yelling of my mom.
I struggled my way out of the bed and went for a shower. I have always hated the idea of schools beginning so early and more than that to get dressed. So I quickly came out of my bathroom, and took out a red sweatshirt, a pair of ripped jeans and my all-time favorite pair of white sneakers.

After all this "hard work "(Note the sarcasm). I took a quick glance through my window to see if he was there. Then I went downstairs and saw my little sister Alison at the table, having her breakfast while talking with mom. When she saw me coming, she threw me a radiant smile.
"Oh Ali, don't start this early morning." Mom warned her.
I gave her an "I-don't-care" eye roll , not wanting to further negotiate with her and took a seat in front of her. Arguing with her was the last thing I want to do right now. I was hungry as hell and seeing mom's pancakes I could not resist myself and took a huge bite. I would definitely miss her amazing recipes if I ever had to leave for studies. As I was lost in my thoughts, someone tapped me on my shoulder and pulled me out of my thoughts. I looked back and saw it was dad.
"Morning girls."
"Good morning, dad." We greeted him together.
He then went to mom to give her a kiss on the cheek and greet her good morning.
"Ummm.... Pancakes. Mine and Twils favourite."He said chirpily.
"Yeah dad." I replied to him by giving him a small smile.
"Ready for school ?" He asked while eating his pancakes.
"Yeah, we were just leaving" Me and Ali replied together.
We quickly finished our breakfast and made our way to the car after after wishing them goodbye.
"Okay girls enjoy your first day at school after the vacation."
"Yes, mom hopefully we will. Bye"
Me and Ali got into my silver Nissan Sentra and drove off to school. As soon as we got there the only thing I wished was that everything would go well. ************************
