The morning sun glowed bright, lightening up every part of my room. As much as a breezy atmosphere it brought with it, I could sense a peculiar kind of feeling. Like today holds a great surprise for me. It's one of those intuitions, you know.

But nonetheless, the sun is up. So that means it's time to get off my lazy ass. Wait, am I forgetting something. Ummm.........

*Beep*

"Hey slumber queen. Up yet? I just wanted to ask if you're coming to the game? Oh who am I kidding? You have to come."

Oh right. The game!!! I went to Ali's room. But to my amazement, I saw she was still in her bed. Wait, did I wake up so early today? But this can't be it. I checked the time and I've only an hour for school.

I went near her and saw that she was awake .

"Hey Ali, hey aren't you ready yet?". She looked pale somehow.

"Oh hey Twila, listen I've severe stomach ache. I don't think I'll be able to make it to school today. And yeah, you'll have to go to the game alone as well."

"What?? It must be because of the loads of chips you ate yesterday. Kid, at least sometimes you should listen to me. Now see the outcome."

"Yeah, yeah. I'm sorry, whatever."

"As you should be. And I'm definitely not going to the game alone. In fact, I'll stay at home today with you. Mom and Dad are also not home so....Lemme just inform Jen about it. And I'll be back with your medicine. Don't worry."

Mom and Dad were on another one of their business trips. So I just decided to hang at home with Ali. I called Jen. When she picked up the call, I put it on the speaker and started searching for the medicines.

"Hey Jen."

"Hey, babe." She literally squeaked through the phone. God knows, how she can be so energetic from morning itself.

"Woah, calm down."

"I'm just so excited for the game and to go support my boyfriend. Anyways what happened, everything's alright?"

"Actually, umm... I'm not coming to school. Also I will not be able to make it to the game."

" WHAT??" She shouted like a maniac, "What do you mean? Come on Twila, we talked about it right? How can you..."

Cutting her off in between, I said, "Ali's not feeling well, Mom and Dad are also away for a business trip. Please try to understand Jen..."

Just then I heard my door crack open and Ali entered into the room. She then went on to snatch my phone from me and started speaking, "Oh Jen, don't worry Twila is definitely coming." And with that she ended the call before I could say anything.

"I'm NOT going to the game."

"Oh you definitely ARE. I never break promises. And I promised him to come cheer him up. I can't, but you definitely need to go. And Twila, who knows this is maybe your chance with him. C'mon."

"Geez Ali, that's so dramatic. And also a kind reminder to you that Miss Alison , you've broken many promises in the past. So don't you dare play that card with me. This sums up that I'm not going and that's fin-"
