(JIMIN POV)
Ever since I was a little kid, I was accustomed to the hospitality and kindness of our people. As a prince of our tribe, I always have to have a keen sense of knowledge regarding our cultures and traditions.
I was inspired on how the country of Kuaii, from a small village like us, became the dominating country that rules the whole world.
When my father died, he left me with the responsibility of taking care of our village as well as all our constituents even if it costs me my life. He told me that my life was not my own anymore but the people's.
It was my 16th birthday. The elders have prepared a ceremony for me on the river that centers our village. It is a blessing of some sort for me to officially assume the position as the Leader of our village.
They told me that I have to be chosen by the river as a righteous heir to its powers. Without the blessing of the nymphs that guard the waters, I will not be given the power to heal.
It was day break when they started the ceremony. I was dressed on a red and gray robe with a one palm belt. On my head are ornaments with sage, coconut husk, and pink tulips.
Chanting, singing, dancing, one by one the elders put their hands on my cheeks. Calling the name "Mirellous", the Nymph of the waters over and over again.
Then I saw flashes of light coming from the river. I lost all control of myself and before I realized, I was naked and glowing in front of all those who attended the ceremony. I never felt ashamed, it was as if I was renewed.
Then a whisper,
"Close your eyes, listen to what I'm about to say.
After the shadow of the night takes over the day,
This land will meet it's doom on the hands of your love,
But after the blood, glory and honor you will have."Everyone was quiet. They all stared at me with content and happiness in their eyes.
At last, I was accepted and granted the power to heal and give everlasting youth. But what I heard from the nymphs that night haunted me until this very day.
