(Jimin POV)

"Jimin, I have something important to tell you. It's about tomorrow's coronation. At all cost, please don't go through with it." He whispered.

"Or at least postpone it for 5 more days. We have to prepare ahead." He continued.

"But uncle, I have been waiting for this all my life. I can't turn back now!" I exclaimed.

"Your Highness, there's something about me that you need to know. I know this will be a shock to you but please listen to me."

His sudden appearance, his statement that I have to not do the coronation, nothing makes sense to me. Do I really have to listen to him? What choice to I have?

"Your highness, maybe you should listen to what he has to say." Gelliphea suggests.

So I agreed. He started his story.

"Twenty years ago, I was at my post guarding the crown Prince of Kuaii. I was an honor knight for the Prince's family who is now King to this day." He said.

"The night before his coronation, the palace was attacked by assasins led by my brother. I had no knowledge that my brother could do such a thing. All of them were aprehended and I was accused of being a traitor. Since I was a knight with a high position, I was not executed but was just banished, never to set foot in Kuaii again." He continued.

"But how does this connect to my coronation tomorrow? Even if you were banished from Kuaii, I don't see the link between them and Hontellè." I asked.

"My dear prince, before I was banished, the king was planning on taking over Hontellè for the power of the river. I had no idea what it was until I met you." He answered.

I lost strength on my knees then. If it is against Kuaii, then I have no match against them. My small village, even if protected by nymphs, can we even survive without the military protection?

"Your highness, please forgive me for telling you all this just now. But I was busy training soldiers to protect you in case anything happens. This was your father's last wish before he passed away." He said.

"But I don't understand. They can't have the powers that I have. The power comes from the nymphs' blessing not the river." I exclaimed.

"The king doesn't know that. He asked the head elder back then and she said that she had a premonition, one that had two sides:

On the day of a king's coronation, the sun will turn dark.
The signal will be fired and the take-over shall start.
Bloodshed and tears will cover the land,
But whose land is it? That we can't brand."

The premonition of this elder sits right by the whisper of the Nymphs during my ritual back then. My coronation is the signal that will bring my village to ruins.

Bloodshed? Take-over? What do I do? I took a run for it.

"Your highness! Where are you going?" He shouted.

"I need to speak to the Nymphs of the river. If I need answers, I know they will give it to me. Continue for the preparations. Do not be afraid, I got this. I will be king!" I shouted back.
