"-I guess I was always a little weird because I fell off the tree and broke my foot- and could not stop laughing." Taehyung said, and Jungkook giggled, swirling the pasta around with his fork.

"And-and you were, like, 5 years old?" Jungkook asked, and Taehyung nodded. "Yeah. My mom was freaking out- but my dad told me that I was laughing so hard that my parents both relaxed a little and began laughing too." Taehyung said, a small smile on his face, a glint of nostalgia in his eyes.

The two of them were in a nice fancy restaurant, both in shirts and trousers, out for a lovely date since there was nothing planned and they were free. They both had downed a glass of wine and were almost done with their meals.

"Your parents sound nice. What did they do?" Jungkook asked, and saw Taehyung hesitate a bit.

"Ah- y'know. Bad stuff. Illegal dealing of drugs and what not. But they tried to raise me as normally as possible. Sent me to a normal school, made sure I had normal birthdays and normal friends and a normal life. I don't think they wanted me to turn out like how they did. But.. oh well." Taehyung chuckled, and Jungkook gave Taehyung a little smile.

"I'm sure they'd be really proud of you for the kind of man you are, Taehyung."

Jungkook told him, reaching forward and linking their hands together. Jungkook squeezed his hand lightly, and Taehyung looked up at him.

"I hope so." Taehyung said, and then cleared his throat, sitting up a little. "Anyways! Enough about me- tell me a cute little story about you. Something that doesn't make me wanna punch the other boys in the face." Taehyung said, grinning.

Jungkook got a little smile on his face. "Well- when I was 5, Jin took me to Soeul for the first time. And-"

"Is that the story where you got lost? Yeah, Jin told me that one." Taehyung said, and Jungkook let out an oh and laughed a little. "Well then, seems like you already know everything about me." Jungkook said, and Taehyung shook his head.

"No, Kooks- I wanna know everything. You must have a nice story with your parents or something, right?" Taehyung asked, and Jungkook blinked and looked away, trying to think.

"Well, my mother was.. apparently really sweet. Opposite of my dad. Of course, I don't remember anything about her because she died when I was 2 years old- but people have told me I remind them a lot of her. I don't know how my parents met.. or-or when they got married.. in fact, I don't think I've ever seen wedding photos.. or met my grandparents from my mom's side.. and I don't have any cousins because my dad was an only child.." Jungkook mumbled, and Taehyung nudged his foot from underneath the table.

"Don't go into that, Kooks." Taehyung told him softly, and Jungkook nodded. "Yeah! Okay- um. When I was 6 my dad took me and my brother fishing!" Jungkook said excitedly, but then Taehyung saw his shoulders drop lightly.

"Ne-nevermind. I was in the car the whole time.." Jungkook mumbled, and then tried really hard to think of another story.

"When-when I was- um- 7, my dad gave me a watch for my birthday. Which I still have." Jungkook said with a smile, and Taehyung chuckled.

"What's so special about the watch?"

"It-it's.. well, it's the only birthday gift he's ever given me... and the only time he's ever wished me.. no- wait- he wished me on my 17th birthday!" Jungkook said, smiling a little, but then his smile washed away.
