It was the night they kissed properly.

Not when Taehyung kissed Jungkook to 'distract Mark' or whatever, but when they kissed in Jungkook's bedroom, after the chef died.

It was when Jungkook clutched onto Taehyung's shirt with his fragile hands, and looked up at him with teary eyes, and just whimpered out his name, when Taehyung felt his heart beat increase.

Taehyung doesn't love. He doesn't know what love is. He lost everything he loved at the mere age of 12. For some it might be strange, but Taehyung loved his parents more than anything. They were young and made sure he was always happy. Even if they were having bad days, they made sure their son wasn't.

And-and to lose everything, at the hands of a man who only laughed after. He doesn't know what he took away. He took away someone's light, someone's life, someone's family. And what did he gain from it? Nothing. He gained nothing, but Taehyung lost everything.

Wang Ruiji, a close friend of his parent's, picked Taehyung up and took him to their mansion, where Taehyung met the other boys. Mark was 18. Jackson was also 18. And they promised him they'd train him and make him one of theirs.

Taehyung spent the next 10 years training and doing small jobs and such. Sleeping with different boys and girls he'd pick up at bars was the only intimate connection he had with anyone. At the back of his mind, he knew he wasn't happy. Nothing could make him happy. Not until his parent's death was avenged.

The Jeons. He didn't know anything about them, but he already hated them. He wanted them dead. He wanted them all dead and gone like his parents. So when Jackson's father came up to Taehyung himself and gave him this mission, Taehyung snatched it and was eager to comply.

What he believed was far from what the truth was. When he first saw the 18 year old boy (who he'd accidentally slept with earlier), he presumed him to be nasty, cold, a bitch.

But to later find Jungkook talking about why chocolate tart is better than apple tart for a whole 16 minutes- Taehyung's perception changed.

But no. He had to get revenge. Wasn't that what he wanted? To kill them all off?

He wasn't supposed to fall for Jungkook. He wasn't supposed to enjoy kissing him, and holding him, and being with him. But that boy- he made Taehyung feel something. Taehyung felt happy around him. No one made Taehyung happy.

Except Jungkook.

"Where is he?" Jackson asked again, and Taehyung sat there on the couch, hands wringing.

"I-I don't know- I left him there-"

Jackson kicked the chair beside him in anger, making it fall over. He looked at Taehyung with frustration in his eyes, which Taehyung saw through his dulled ones. "You left him there?? Didn't we clearly ask you to bring him? Why the fuck couldn't you follow a simple instruction?!"

"I'm sorry, Jackson! But I just couldn't bring him." Taehyung snapped, and he saw Mark sigh beside him, trying not to get upset at either party, remaining neutral.

"Couldn't, or didn't want to?" Jaebum asked, and Taehyung's breath hitched.

"I did, he-he found out, and I was going to- but-but-"

"But what? This makes everything so much harder, Kim. My father wanted him here so he could get answers because you're not giving us any. Now he's not only going to be pissed at you, he's also going to be pissed at Mark, and me, and everyone else." Jackson ranted.

Taehyung looked at the floor, unable to comprehend the words and feelings surrounding him at the moment. "I'm sorry." Taehyung breathed out, and Jackson scoffed.
