Loki was standing in front of the mirror in his room, trying outfit by outfit for hours. He wanted to look good, even though Stephen told him to dress comfy. After many tries, he decided for the very first model he tried, black jeans with a dark green T-shirt and a man bun.

The minute he changed he heard a knock on the door of his room, Stephen peaking in. "Hello, babe, are you ready?" The sorcerer asked as he stepped in the room, coming closer to Loki, hugging him from behind. "I am. Where do we go?" The god asked curiously.

Strange smiled, "that's a surprise," he answered, taking on the sling ring, opening a portal, taking Loki's hand as they walk through the portal.

"Oh, my-" Loki breathed out in surprise as he saw what Stephen prepared for him, standing there, looking around in awe, mouth opened, tear wetting his eyes. They were standing on the rooftop terrasse of Sanctum, candles covering the floor, an aisle coming through, a picnic blanket at its end, the last beams of setting sun colouring the sky pink and purple.

"That's like-" Loki was speechless. "Yes, like our very first date eight years ago." Strange smiled, leading Loki to the blanket. "Are you hungry or did I prepare lasagna for nothing?" Loki's face lit up even more than it already was. "Lasagna! My favourite!" Stephen chuckled at Loki's reaction, he was like a child when it went for food. "This is so good." Loki almost purred with his mouth full of the delicious meal.

The evening went smoothly, both sorcerers enjoying themselves, talking and laughing, nothing but this moment as if the whole world vanished and there was nothing but the two of them and the rooftop terrasse.

They were in the middle of small talk when Stephen suddenly stood up, reaching out his left hand as the music started playing from somewhere, "may I have this dance, my prince?" The Asgardian blushed at the nickname, happily taking Stephen's hand, standing up.

The sorcerer placed his right arm on the small of god's back, their bodies swaying slowly to the rhythm, Loki's head on Strange's shoulder, his heart booming with happiness. He felt so safe and comfortable in those arms.

After a moment, Stephen suddenly stopped swaying, pulling away a bit to have a better look at his lover, placing his hand on Loki's cheek.

"Loki, it's been nine years since you walked through doors of the Sanctum, capturing my heart immediately. I was so alone and I owe you so much. You're the best thing ever happened to me and I can't even remember what it was like not loving you. I'm sorry for the pain you had to come through the last five years, I'm sorry I wasn't here for you. I'm sorry we lost so much time. I want to make it up for you as much as I can, reminding you every day how much I love you and I'm willing to do it for the rest of my life."

Loki couldn't believe his ears, his eyes started to blur with tears when he saw Stephen kneeling, a beautiful golden ring in his hand. "Loki Odinson, will you make me the happiest man in Midgard and marry me?"

Loki was standing there, completely frozen, tears running down his cheeks, his voice stuck in the throat. He could never even imagine that someone would want to marry him, especially someone as beautiful, smart and caring as Stephen. Loki's mind was blank, not able to process a word and that was the moment Strange needed for his plan.

He quickly stood up, pressing his lips against Loki's. The god's eyes widened, pulling away almost immediately, panic spilling all over his body, chest tightening. "What have you done?!" He whispered, hiding his face in his hands, sobbing, his eyes still closed, expecting to wake up at any moment, his heart aching.

Strange took his wrists, taking them off his face. "Loki, look at me." Loki's shot up, eyes wide opened, realising he was still with the sorcerer on the rooftop. "You... you're real," was everything Loki was able to say. Strange chuckled, "I am." He said, his hand on Loki's cheek again, stroking him with his thumb. "So? What's your answer, my prince?" Stephen whispered, smiling.

"You meant it," Loki said more for himself, looking into sorcerer's eyes, not needing to think long about the answer. "It will be an honour to be called your husband," Loki answered, leaning in to kiss his fiance, his heart overwhelmed with joy. He still couldn't believe it was real, in Stephen's arms again, completely awaken and sane. For the first time in those five years, he wanted to stay in reality.

"And this, my little Freya, is the story of how your daddy proposed to me. Seven months later, we had a wedding. It was beautiful, we had it in New Asgard, uncle Thor helped us with preparations. Can you believe that daddy cried?" Loki smiled at the memory, "and two years after the wedding, you were born and now, you're going to have a brother." Loki finished the story, pulling their little daughter closer to his pregnant belly.

"And-and papa, can I see the wedding photos? Pleeaase." the girl asked, making puppy eyes. Loki chuckled, running his hand over Freya's dark hair, "it's late, we could look at them with daddy tomorrow, ok?" He said, standing up from the bed, covering Freya carefully, kissing her forehead, "good night, honey." "Good night, papa," Freya smiled, closing her eyes.

Loki closed the door of Freya's room, heading to the living room where Stephen was reading on the couch, sitting down next to him, trying to find a comfortable position, which was with 8-months pregnant belly quite difficult. "How can women stand this body the whole life? I want it to be already over." Loki whined, laying his head on the back of the couch, closing his eyes, trying to relax.

"Don't worry, only a month." Strange laid the book on the coffee table, turning to his husband, "only a month. Easy to say when you don't have to drag the belly everywhere." Strange chuckled, his hand on Loki's belly, stroking it gently, "you're doing great, babe, the pregnancy makes you even more beautiful."

The words made the god blush, a smile on his lips. "Can you believe Freya's already six? The time is running so fast," Loki said, yawning, "I hope Junior won't have the same powers as she has. I'm not sure if I'm able to deal with two kids teleporting around the house," Loki chuckled, his eyes still closed. They stayed quiet, enjoying each other's presence, the magical moment, at last, their happily ever after.
