"Intruders! Intruders!Intruders!" The huge dragon bellowed in a strange, metallic voice. "WHAT?!" Another voice screamed."WHY DID YOU NOT CATCH THEM, OCTILLUS!? And who are the insane beasts who DARED infiltrate my palace?" the figure that the voice belonged to stepped out into the light to gaze down her dragon snout at the younglings. "Oh..." she said, momentarily surprised. "Well... we have ourselves a nice, interesting, surprise..." She finished, a slow, cold smile spreading across her snout. Narina gasped as she finally recognized the dragon. "You..." she started, growling at the dragon. The dragon stared at her for a while, then said, "Hello, Narina. Welcome home, daughter."  "Thrush gasped, looking at the menacing dragon and then quickly back to Narina. "You guys... you're... you're... related?!" He stuttered, taking a step back. "H-how?!" The dragon, Narina's mother, gave a slow laugh. "You really haven't told him, Narina?" she asked Narina with an amused expression. "What do you care, Mother? Finally want everyone to know?" Narina spat at Rienea. "Why should I even call you 'Mother'? It's not like you actually cared for me, Rienea,"  she growled. Thrush just stood there, speechless, until he managed to talk. "You... you... how? Narina, you look l-like any other Spirit! Not like a d-dragon! How is she," he said, pointing at Narina's mom, Rienea,"your m-mom at all?! H-how is t-this possible!?" he clutched his head in his paws. "Fine. If you won't cooperate, i'll make you cooperate," Rienea whispered coldly, so quiet that Narina and Thrush had to strain to hear her. "TAKE THEM, OCTILLUS!" she bellowed suddenly, taking Narina and Thrush by surprise. The giant, mind-controlled dragon leaped forward and roughly picked them up, putting them into a large, woven sack. "Take them to the prison! Now! I don't want to hear any more from them until I make them be my servants!" Rienea roared at Octillus as he flew towards the prison. Octillus did a sudden swerve in the air to show that he had heard her order, throwing Narina and Thrush around uncomfortably.

Octillus soon arrived at the prison; a dark, dank, smelly place with the cries of many other prisoners echoing around the stone walls. Octillus landed harshly, throwing the two Spirits around once more, and started dragging them to their cell. "This is your new home, now. If you misbehave..." Octillus warned, dragging a talon along their necks so that a thin trickle of blood was left in its wake. He threw them into the cell and slammed the door shut, locking the three locks with a few of his many keys. Thrush immediately went to a corner and curled up, his Spirit Light dimming. "Oh, no. Oh,no. We're gonna die in here... see, I told you, Narina, I told you we would die in this place..." Thrush whimpered softly, but Narina took no notice of his words. She was fuming in front of the cell door muttering, "I hate her, I hate her, I hate her... that ugly, moss-filled blob of panther spit." while she was saying that, though, her clever mind was working out a way to get out of the prison. "THRUSH!" Narina suddenly yelped, startling Thrush so much that he jumped up and put his arms in front of his head, saying, "No! Please don't kill me!! I'm too young and frightened to die here!!" "Thrush! It's fine! It's just me. I think I have an idea..." Thrush immediately relaxed as she started to tell him her idea.

When Narina finished, she said, with a malicious glint in her eye, "Hey, Thrush... how much can you tolerate pain?"
