-The previous day, from the Queen's point of view...
I was still fuming about the incident with Narina, and was even angrier because she, along with the stupider Spirit Wolf and another one of my prisoners escaped. "Octillus! I'm still mad, so go bring me a prisoner to torture!" "Umm... Yes, my Queen... but you've been torturing them so much lately... that th-" Octillus said, hurrying into the Throne Room. "Don't tell me what to do, Octillus! Just do what I said!" I growled at him as he flew off towards the prison caves. "Ugh. Honestly, why do the guards and attendants not listen to orders?! I'm the Queen, for stars sake. " I thought. "I'm going to need a way to find that Narina brat myself."
Suddenly, I remembered the ancient treasure, the Atlas Stone. My mother told me that whoever holds it in their talons can can appear to the dragon of their choice, whereever they may be in the world. "Or...Spirit of their choice." I thought, scratching my chin with my talon. "Wron! Actually, I'm going to go to the Treasure Room. I order you not to tell anyone about where I'm going, or what I'm doing there, or else you won't be able to." "Y- yes, my Q-queen." Wron stuttered, bowing.
I left for the Treasure Room, laughing inwardly about how easy this was. Once I entered the huge chamber full of treasure, I gasped at its beautiful walls, which were covered in gold and treasure. The last time I had seen the room was with my mother, twenty years ago, when the Spirits and Dragons lived in peace together.I hadn't cared to visit this room anymore since then.
How stupid of us back then, to be friends with our enemies. I scoffed at the memory, and began sorting through the massive piles of gold and gems. Soon, I found what I was looking for. The Atlas Stone finally laid in my talons, where it should rightfully be. The stone was light purple with streaks of green and blue running through it like multicolored rivers. "Finally! I can now finally see what that stupid Narina and her friends are planning!" I shouted, holding up the Atlas Stone.
I stood up, shaking the gold from my scales, and triumphantly walked back to the Throne Room, clutching the Atlas Stone in my talons. I soon returned to my throne, and laid down, staring at the treasure. "What did mother say about using this? Ugh, why do I need mother's help? I'm the strongest queen in the world! I can figure it out on my own." I thought, still clutching the stone. I held it up before me, testing an idea, and whispered, "Narina" into it. Nothing happened. Aggravated, I slammed it down on the stone below me. I sighed and tried... someone else. "Hmm... who is important to her? Umm...Oh... I think I know one," I thought, my frills twitching with excitement. "A human... "
