Previously on Helpless: Faith and Cam almost got caught, but Cam escaped before her mother can catch him. Cameron gets a call from his dad, and they cancelled Magcon New York. How will he tell Faith? What will happen next?
-Faith's pov-
Tomorrow, my step-mom, my brother, Cameron and I will leave for New York. I don't think I've ever been happier knowing that Cameron is coming back to New York with me. The only problem is my step-mom. She needs to adjust to the idea of him and I as a couple.
"Mom?" I ask at dinner.
"Yes, sweetie?" she says.
"I'm 17 years old. And I've always made good choices. I would never make a decision that I know has bad consequences."
"Mhmm." She says as she is nodding her head.
"And when I met Cameron, I made sure I knew exactly who he was before we developed a relationship. I trust Cameron, Mom. And I wish you would, too."
She chews her food for a while before responding.
"Honey, the only reason I didn't let you be with Cameron was because I wanted to protect you. Knowing you would be leaving him in a few days, I didn't want your heart to get broken."? She says.
"Mom, my heart won't get broken. Cameron is coming back to New York, too! Isn't that great?"
She thinks a little bit.
"You really like this boy, don't you?" She asks.
"Yes. I like him a lot." I say.
There is a long pause, and then she says, "Okay. I approve."

I run to Cameron's room after dinner and knock on the door. He answers and he starts to say my name but I kiss him before he can get the chance.
"Cameron! I have the best news." I say as I walk into the hotel room.
"I've got some news as well." He says, scratching the back of his head.
"I'll go first. I talked to my mom and she approves. She's going to let us be together, Cameron!" I hug him, and he squeezes me.
"Oh my god, that's great!"
I have a huge smile on my face.
"I know." I say, "now what news did you have?"
His closes his eyes for a second.
Then he says, "They cancelled Magcon New York. I'm not going back with you guys anymore."
I let go of his hands.
"Oh my god." I say.
A million thoughts are flying through my mind right now.
"I can't believe you. You probably never were coming back with me anyway. Do you even care about me?! Or did you just want to hook up with me?!"
I can feel tears swelling up so I run out the door.
Cameron yells after me, "No! I care about-" and I slam the door.
