After the ball a few weeks went by and Farkle started to become very distant he would rarely hang out with us he would always be with his new girlfriend Emily. Meanwhile Gabe and his friends started to hang out with us it was so much fun we all just became a big group of friends. I became really close with Gabe we would hang out all the time it was great to have someone like him in my life. It was Friday so I was actually happy in the morning since we had a 3 day weekend anyway I got ready for school and headed out.
"hey wait up" Farkle screamed as he caught up to me.
"oh hey how are you." I said confused
"I'm good what about you?" he said with a weak smile.
"I'm great" I said with a smile and then it got really awkward we basically just walked in silence until we got to school.
"well it was nice seeing you bye" I said as I left to go with my friends.
As I got to our hang out spot Zay was tapping his foot as if he was my dad or something. "what did I do now." I said laughing
"why were you talking to him?" Zay asked me with an annoyed tone.
"he wanted to walk together come on Zay leave him alone just because he doesn't want to hang out with us anymore means that we have to be dicks." I said smiling
"But he left us" Lucas said with a sad tone.
" I know and it sucks but things like this happen all the time I think we should just remember the good things about our friendship just forget about let's go to class." I said I started walking. -Lunch time- "hey maya" Gabe said smiling
"well hello there Gabe where have you been" I asked giving him a hug.
"I had to go to a doctors appointment" he said sitting down at our table.
"why did you come to school then?" I asked
"well I wanted to see my friends and I wanted to ask you something." he said a bit shy
"couldn't you just call me or something" I said laughing as I sat next to him.
"well the thing is I wanted to do it in person because I wanted to see your facial expression you know because it's important." he said a bit nervous.
"you are low key scaring me what's up." I said laughing.
"I wanted to ask you out on a date." he said looking at me with a smile "and I completely understand if you don't want to I wouldn't want to ruin the friendship that we have built so if you decided that you" he started to ramble
"I would love to." I said cutting him off
"yeah it's okay I totally get it wait did you say you would love to?" He said surprised
"yeah" I responded laughing.
"Oh great I'll pick you up at 6 then." He said smiling. "Sounds good."
