Escape Jacquie

Chapter 4

Dad was furious. Imagine that you did something unthinkable and your parents were SOOOO mad. Then times that by 10,000. That's how angry Dad was. Michelle wasn't really that mad. She was just interested in the movie so she could go and see it with her friends on her day off work.
"What on earth did you do to get a detention?" Michelle enquired.
"Well I called my English teacher Ms FatBum Bellamy." I replied in a small voice.
" Oh well, fair enough, " she agreed, "It looks like 10 million balloons have been stuffed up her floral skirts."
Michelle was one of those people who was really soft with big stuff, but was extremely strict with tiny things that don't matter.
"Michelle," Dad said.
" Jacquie, why did you say that? Do you call her that alot? " Dad questioned me.
"Yes I do and it just slipped out. But Richelle and Summer stuck up for me and they have a detention too tomorrow," I answered.
Dad furrowed his brow and sank his head in his hands. "Well, for that you can go to your room and not come out until the morning."
                                                                  
When I got to my room, I saw that my phone had been having a heart attack. These were the messages that Richelle and Summer had sent me:

Richelle
Jacquie, what's ur punishment?
Summer
Mine's no candy or tv for 2 weeks.
Richelle
Same.

And these are the messages that I sent back:

Jacquie
Mine's that I have to stay in my room until the morning.
Jacquie
I just want to escape
Jacquie
I wonder where the nearest train station is?
Summer
Jacquie, u can't run away ur dad would go bananas.
Richelle
Yeah and u don't know where ur going
Jacquie
Simple I'll go to Moms house
Richelle
Doesn't ur mom live in New York we're in Toronto.
Summer
And why do u need a train to get to New York
Jacquie
I don't I need it to get to the airport
Jacquie
Meet me in the secret place at school tomorrow after detention
Richelle
Ok I'll be there
Summer
Sounds like a plan.
