Clarrise's Pov:

The only plus side about getting stuck with a Cyclops and his Harpy girlfriend was that they at least knew a couple of things, and the Cyclops is a decent fighter.

That was my first thought when we got stuck with them. And now we were riding through town on a Hellhound. Wonder what the mortals saw...

"Now this is a great way to start the morning," Chriss said, laughing some, as he realized the mortals giving them looks were only that of disgust and confusion.

"Are we gonna ride a dog the entire way there?" I asked, already getting tired of it. If I had to keep this up all the way to New York I would lose it. Mainly because my butt already was starting to hurt.

"Did you ever think to make a saddle for this thing?" I asked before anyone could answer my first question.

"Well, normally, people don't ride Mrs. O Leary," Tyson said, "Normally play."

I rolled my eyes. The only people who can play with her are you.

"At least we don't have to travel halfway across the country to get there," Chriss said.

I knocked him upside the head, "Really?! You jinxed us! Now, something's gonna happen!"

Chriss bit his lip, "Oops."

I sighed, "Monster in three...two...one..."

In complete comic timing, there was a scream behind us.

Mrs. O Leary Stopped, and we all turned around.

"Kill the traitor Harpy!" A Harpy screeched from in the middle of a flock of maybe five or six Harpies. They were making their way towards us, killing mortals on the way.

I was about to jump off to fight them off when Tyson yelled, "Mrs. O Leary run!" and we took off straight into an alleyway, where we disappeared into the shadows.
