Drew
I groaned and tried to ignore the pain in my stomach. I opened my eyes to see that girl pounce on Micah, saving Brynn from her almost certain death.
All of this started because I wanted to try what I came here to do--kill people by seducing them, that is, but of course that girl's friend had to come and start fights. I had full possession over her, about to kill her when Brynn came and decided to tell me not to kill her. So of course I was pissed.
Then Micah got mad too and Brynn and him started fighting, scaring me to death. I promised myself I wouldn't let Brynn die, but I had to know what to do about that girl in my arms, too. Then the stupid girl bit me and I had to start fighting, too, until she kicked me in the stomach making me fall, then pounced on Micah.
I couldn't believe I got beat by a girl, but I was even more shocked at how she defended Brynn. That new girl was about to kill Micah, when we all heard poor Brynn let out a quiet, "Wait! Don't... hurt... him..." I wasn't surprised. Brynn honestly didn't seem like one for violence if it wasn't necessary. The new girl's brown eyes were wide, she was in pure shock.
Micah's eyes, on the other hand, were narrow, like he thought it was some trick. I sighed and Brynn continued talking. "I... I mean... Please don't kill him. Not till I'm dead. Please..." I watched as a tear fell down her cheek. She thinks she's gonna die.
I started to get up, but stopped when I saw anger in the new girl's eyes as she sliced through Micah's shoulder making him yell in pain and turn away. I grabbed some wrap for him to put over his cut and tossed it to him.
He caught it and didn't make eye contact, obviously furious that he let her injure him. I rolled my eyes and turned back toward Brynn and the other chick.
Brynn seemed mad that she hurt Micah, the girl was defending herself, saying that if she didn't do anything that Brynn would be dead, but Brynn didn't care. I laughed at Brynn's persistence as both girls went back and forth.
Micah's tense body turned and he shouted, "Shut up! Neither of you are killing me ever! Are we all just gonna sit here and giggle and argue or decide if anyone is gonna die?"
Brynn's eyes narrowed, she looked quite angered with him. "Nobody is going to die. I say we all just stick together. All of us, well, I mean, in our own way, have good ways of fighting. If we just get along I'm sure the four of us will stay alive just fine. Isn't that what you all want?"
I decided to quit being quiet like I had been and joined in, "Yeah, I mean, I'm good at killing 10 at once, like I did earlier. Micah, you're big and scary; I'm sure you're good at something." He gave me a look like he would've killed me if we were alone. "Brynn is in that flaggit thing, so I think it's swords that she's good at..." I knew I was right when she nodded her head with a smile. "And this new chick just knocked me down without a weapon and caught Micah off guard enough to slice into his shoulder. We can do this."
Brynn stood up carefully and gave me a hug, obviously grateful of my little speech. I looked at the other two, who were still as stubborn as two could be. "C'mon dude, we'll make it," Brynn smiled slightly.
"Fine. I guess. But I'm gonna pick a few things. You guys don't get to boss me around. Ever. I'm my own person. You try it, you die." He walked over and leaned against one of the bunk beds, arms crossed against his chest.
We all turned to the new girl who looked utterly confused. "I don't trust any of you, except for the girl, but I swear, I need an alliance badly, so I'm at a loss."
Brynn stepped up with her hand stuck out to shake and said, "I'm Brynn. I think it's ok to trust those guys. The have anger issues sometimes, but I doubt they'll actually hurt you once they give you their word, right boys?" Brynn looked back at us with the look that says "agree with me or you're dead."
