Ch.7 [Trust & A Date]

Kiku's POV

'Today's the day~ today's the day we present our projects with our partners!' I thought as adrenaline flooded my system. I have every colored paint known to man in the bag I hold. I ran to the classroom, I got a text from Nagito-kun that everyone else was already there, and they were only waiting for me. 'I wonder what the others came up with to combine their talents.' I slammed the door to our classroom open. "I'm here! Sorry I'm late!!" I said panting with one hand on my knee as I catch my breath.

"Kiku-kun! Your tardiness still hasn't changed." Yukizome-sensei scolded me. "Ehehe, G-Gomen sensei, I just h-had to make s-sure that I-I didn't leave anything." I stuttered. It's weird but I'm able to speak to people now but only to the people who I'm close with if I was with a stranger I couldn't talk at all, if I'm with my friends I stutter, but if I'm with Nagito-kun I can speak normally, that was what I've observed this past week and Gekkogahara-san said that that was normal but it was strange that I was speaking this fast since it was only for a few monthsI started therapy.

Sensei placed her hands on her hips. "Hai~ just please try not to be late again...*sigh* you weren't like this before Kiku-kun." she said shaking her head. I looked at her apologetically and I went towards Nagito-kun who was now looking at me. He smiled at me and I blushed. It's quite hard to believe that we are official now, I fell in love with my best friend. I just never thought that he would feel the same way. "Good morning Nagito-kun!" I greeted him, ''Good morning Kiku-kun~" he greeted me back as he took the bag in my hands and looked at the contents. "Wow, these are a lot..." he commented as he put it down on his desk. "Of course~ there can never be too much." I said and he chuckled at my response.

"Kiku, later do--" I cut him off. "Ah! Wait a minute Nagito-kun, I'll be right back." I said as I went to Kazuichi-kun who was discussing things with Nekomaru-san, he was holding a remote control kind of sort as there was this big robot thing next to them. "Kazu-kun Nekomaru-san!!" I exclaimed as I neared them. "Kiku! You're late man!" he said as he slapped my back, it hurt, a lot. "A-ah yeah ahaha...A-ano were y-you able to m-make it?" I asked him and he nodded. "I did the best I can but I can assure you it works better than the one's that you can buy at a local shop!" he said as he handed me a big and long case. "Thank you! I c-can't wait to see y-your's!" I thanked him. "No problem! You better get back to lover boy, he's been staring daggers at me." he whispered the second part to me with a grin as he was looking at something behind me. I turned around and see Nagito-kun smiling. I sweat dropped. "I-Is that so?.." I mumbled. "Well thanks again! G-good luck!" I said as I headed back to Nagito-kun.

His eyes following me. "What is that?" he asked when I placed it on his desk. I stayed silent as I opened the case to let him see. "Ah, are you sure you can do this?" he asked. "Of course! I just have to believe in your luck!" I answered and he looked away. "Yeah
...My luck..." he said acting distant. I frowned, 'He's doubting himself again.' I thought and took his hand to make him look at me. He looked at me in surprise. "We can do this Nagi, You can do this." I encouraged him and he flashed me a real smile as he nodded. "Mm!"

"Hai minna-san! Who would want to go first?" Sensei asked us. "We want to sensei!" Ibuki-san said. "We'll be the shining stars on this day!" Hiyoko-chan continued as she took out her fan. "Hai! Go on." Sensei said as she let the two go infront. They showed a beautiful traditional dance performance with traditional music, this surprised me a bit since Ibuki-san mostly do punk-rock to heavy metal. Next to go on was Ryota-kun and Byakuya-san, they showed us a short Anime created by Ryota-kun and funded by Byakuya-san. Next was Sonia-san and Mahiru-chan they presented a runway show where Sonia-san was the model with her beauty and grace as Mahiru-chan took pictures and the end results were gorgeous! Next to go is Kazuichi-kun and Nekomaru-san who fought while training a learning AI that Kazuichi-kun made.
