Your POV:
"What?! Are you serious?!" I widen my eyes in surprise of what my bestfriend, Mikasa, had told me.
"Yes, so are you coming or what?" She asked in her usual stoic expression, getting impatient with my answer.
We were out in a Cafe, drinking tea, in the afternoon when Mikasa asked me if I could go to a big ass fancy party with her in her Uncle's mansion. She already asked Eren and Armin but she wants me to be there too.
"I don't know. There'll a lot of people there and you know how I feel about wearing dresses." I say, looking down at my tea and fiddling with the teacup's handle.
I was uncertain of going to the said party. I haven't been to any big parties before let alone a formal one with rich people and spoiled brats. Just some small get together with my few friends but that is all. I'm concerned that what if I'd make a fool out of my self if I go there. Who am I kidding, I'll definitely make a fool out of myself in that party!
"Come on, (Y/N). We'll be there with you. And..." Mikasa says in her monotoned voice but yet has a tinged of amusement in her tone, she looked me straight in the eyes with persuasive eyes, "There'll be a buffet filled with delicious foods."
My ears twitched at the mentioned food. Raising an eyebrow in interest, I leaned in close.
"Food you say?"
"Lots of them."
"I'm in!!!"
Without thinking, I've agreed to the party. Not thinking of what'll be the consequences if I fucked up in the party.
My eyes lit up and practically drooled over the possible desserts that'll soon be in my mouth once I entered that mansion. Maybe there'll be a chocolate fountain or different kinds of cake; tiramisu cake, chocolate cake, vanilla sponge cak-
Snap!
My daydreaming was cut off short before I got to the good stuff when Mikasa snapped her finger at my face.
"Hey, (Y/N). Come back down to earth."
"Hehe, sorry." I awkwardly laughed and scratched the back of my neck in embarrassment.
"I'll pick you up at 7 tomorrow in the evening." She stood up. Grabbing her sling bag, she slung it over her shoulder. "And I guess you don't have any sort of dress in your house, right?"
I nodded and gave her a confused look.
"Why do you ask?"
She raise an eyebrow at me as I facepalmed after realizing the situation.
"Oh... " I stared at her with hopeful eyes. "Can I just wear what I usually wear?"
"No, you'll look stupid."
"Ouch."
"Let's go."
She grabbed my wrist and dragged me out of the cafe after leaving some tip.
"W-wait, I don't have much money with me." I looked at her as she dragged me across the sidewalk towards who knows where.
"Don't worry, it's on me."
"What?! No, I-" I was about to refuse the offer but she cut me off.
"It's okay, besides I was the one who dragged you into coming with us anyway."
I stayed silent, knowing that there's nothing I could do to change her mind. Even if I pleaded, I will get the same result. Giving up, I just let her drag me somewhere.
