Chapter Forty-four

ELIZIAH'S POV

"Zamie, can I put my things in your trunk?" Ari asks Rae and the latter nodded her head.

"can I transfer the groceries in the backseat of your car Rhea?" she asks.

"sure, but..are you going to do what we're thinking you'll do?" Rhea asks and Ari nodded.

"Mr. Buenaventura gave me the car 2 years ago thinking I'm old enough to get my license." she said and I remembered that day.

She told me through our video chat that when she got home, there was a note on top of their dining table and a key she doesn't have any idea what for.

When she read the note, it said 'today's your day, happy birthday! that's your gift! have fun. -dad & mom' she even showed me the note.

That time she laughed at how funny it was. Her parents gave her a gift na hindi niya magagamit not unless she turns 17 nearly 18 plus that day was not her birthday, dumaan na ang birthday niya when they gave her the present.

"so I will have to leave it behind..these things I'm bringing though, ako mismo ang bumili." sabi niya.

Ari then went to get something out from her study table, I recognized it as her motorbike keys.

When she was turning 18, bumili siya ng motor as a gift sa sarili niya. I told her not to use it often dahil delikado and she agreed, she rarely uses it as far as I know.

"wait, may motor ka?" Audrey asks amused.

"yeah, Ziah doesn't want me to use it too much..but I guess I have to, I promise I'll be careful." sabi niya at tinignan ako, sending me a sign to allow her and I nodded my head.

"you can join Rhea and Mitch, I'll ride my bike." sabi niya sa'kin and I raised my eyebrows at her.

"I'll ride with you." sabi ko and she shook her head, staring deep into my eyes.

As if telling me to let her be for awhile and I understood, "I'll crash into your backseat lovebirds." sabi ko kina Mitch at Rhea who nodded their heads, understanding the situation very well.

Lumabas na kami mula sa kwarto ni Ari at bumaba, nasa couch na ang parents niya with an angry look on their faces. Hindi man lang ba nila babawiin ang sinabi nila kanina?

Wordlessly, Ari started walking papalapit sa pinto with us following her when her mom spoke, "you think you can survive the world without us hah." sabi nito and Ari stopped walking right away at nilingon sila sabay lakad papunta sa kanila.

"I survived for 18 years without you." sabi niya at nilagay sa mesa ang susi ng kotse.

"you gave me the car when I was 16, 2 months after my real birthday..but how would you guys know? you only gave birth to me but that's just what you did..good bye." sabi nito at tumalikod na.

Naglakad na siya pabalik sa'min as I opened the door for all of us. Dumeretso sina Rhea at Mitch sa kotse ni Ari, which was left unlocked because from her room, she unlocked it para kunin namin ang groceries after.

I followed her papunta sa garage nila at binuksan niya ito, kinuha niya ang takip ng bike niya at sumakay dito.

"I'll see you sa condo mo my angel." sabi niya sa'kin sabay pinaandar ito.

"sige na, sumakay ka na sa kotse nila Rhea." she said at nilapitan ko siya sabay niyakap.

"take care, I love you." sabi ko and I felt her hug me back.

Nang kumalas kami sa yakap namin, she smiled at me before saying, "I love you too."

Kinuha niya ang helmet niya at sinuot ito, then she motioned me to go kaya umalis na ako at sumakay sa kotse ni Rhea.
