Chapter 6

|Sidearms's POV|

Later that day...

I went straight to G's house after school. I wasn't sure if I should tell him about what happened with Shadow or not. The only reason I am debating is because I don't want to ruin their friendship after learning that they have been friends since before kindergarten, and I don't know how to tell him neither.

When I knocked on the door and got no answer, I got a little worried. I remembered that G said there was a spare key under the flower pot, that him and his mother intentionally planted a bush in, on the porch. When I got inside, I went straight to G's room and found him curled up in a ball, fast asleep. I went to the kitchen to make him something to eat.

"G, babe, I made you a sandwich if you wanna get up and eat", I said, lightly shaking him.

"No Mom, I don't wanna ride the kangaroo", he said, clearly still dreaming.

"Eum, there is no kangaroo G", I said, laughing. "It's just me, your boyfriend."

He fluttered his eyes open and looked up at me, smiling lazily. "I thought you weren't coming today."

"I decided I wanted to come take care of you", I smiled. "Now sit up so you can eat."

"Okay Mom!"

"It's Mr. Mom for you, young boy!", I said causing both of us to laugh. I wanted to tell him about Shadow, but I didn't want to ruin his good mood right now.

|Maria's POV|

Me and Lilly were currently walking over to where Speedy and Jahova were waiting on us. Lilly and Jahova knew that me and Speedy have been going on dates and hanging around each other often, and have agreed not to tell anyone else about it.

"So, are you and the Speedster a thing now or nah?", Lilly asked me, smiling.

"No, not yet", I sighed. "I'm hoping he'll ask me out soon."

We reached our destination before the subject could go any further. Lilly ran up to Jahova and kissed him while I looked for Speedy.

"Where's Speedy?", I asked Jahova, still looking for him. "And where's his car?"

"He already left." He looked over at me with apologetic eyes. "He left with Heather, the head cheerleader."

I looked down. "Okay, that's perfectly fine, I guess..." My eyes watered a little. "Not like we are official or anything..." I walked away after that, accidently bumping into Legiqn who was passing by.

"Sorry Maria, didn't see you there", he apologized noticing my teary eyes. "Are you okay?"

"Eum, yeah I'm fine, I guess..."

"How about this? We go see a movie to get your mind off of whatever is bothering you!", he said, a little too excitedly for my liking, but I laughed along with him.

"That sounds like fun, so let's go." I felt bad for turning my back on Speedy, but he deserved it, and I was bored so why not doing something fun?

|Speedy's POV|

After I got back from taking Heather home, I saw that Maria, Lilly and Jahova were all gone. I called Maria, but the call went straight to her voicemail. I guess I'll just talk to her later.

"Hey Shadow, wanna do something?" I called Shadow, because he was the only one I knew I could call.

"Sure. What do you wanna do?", he asked.

"Let's go see a movie."

We just got to the movie theater after I picked up Shadow to his place. We were waiting in line when I heard a familiar laugh. I turned around to see Maria and Legiqn, both in a fit of laughters. I caught Maria's glare and she gave me a death stare. Then I realized that I never told her I was only giving Heather a ride home.

"Shadow?", I said.

"Hmm?"

"I think I just started World War 3..."
