|Sidearms' POV|

A couple of days later...

"Why did it have to leave a mark?", I grumbled to no one but myself. With some of Maria's coverup, I was trying to hide the mark that G's hand had left on my cheek.

Maria walked into the room. "Albi, have you seen my- Why do you have my makeup?"

"I-I eum, I", I paused. "I need it to cover a hickey?", I questionned more than said.

Maria shook her head. "Don't lie to me. Now show me", she said as she started walking towards me.

"It's nothing", I said, backing up.

"Show my now, Albi."

"No, because you'll get mad at me."

"I'm gonna be mad either way."

I sighed. It's useless to try and argue with her. "Fine." I grabbed a tissue and wiped off the makeup.

"Who did this?", she asked as she lightly rub the red handprint on my face.

"You'll get mad if I tell you."

"It was G, wasn't it?"

"I deserved it."

"No you didn't. No matter what you did". She looked deeply concerned.

"I told him that Shadow texted me asking me to come over." I stopped. "It was really just Sonia asking if G and I wanted to come over and eat."

"Are you okay?", she asked. I could tell she was trying not to yell because of the fact that G hit me.

"I'm fine, and me and him are still together. He apologized to me." Maria wasn't convinced. "He loves me, he promised he wouldn't do it again."

"I'm gonna have a talk with him, but it won't be too bad. Promise me one thing."

"What is it?", I asked her.

"If he does it again, break up with him. I don't want you getting hurt", she said. She tried to smile, but she was too upset to.

"I promise." I know G won't do it again. He promised he wouldn't.

"Speedy's here. I'll cover that up on our way to school." I nodded, following her downstairs.

"Bye Sonia!", we both yelled, putting on smiles as we ran out the door.

"What's wrong, baby?", Speedy asked as soon as me and Maria got in the car.

She sighed. "G slapped Albi."

"He what?!", exclaimed Speedy. "I'm gonna kick his ass!"

"It's fine, Speedy. I'm gonna handle it", said Maria. "Albi, turn a little to the right." I did as told as she started to cover the mark.

"Are you done yet?", I asked.

"Yeah." She put the lid on the small bottle and put it in her backpack.

"Hey, it's gonna be okay", said Speedy, looking in the review mirror as he drove. "I promise you", he added, reaching back and grabbing Maria's hand, lacing their fingers together.

"I hope you're right", said Maria.

"I'm always right", Speedy chuckled at her.

"Not always", she said, smiling at him.

"Well I'm right when I say that I love you more than you could possibly ever love me."

"Nope, baby. I told you that you aren't always right because that, right there, was not right at all", Maria smiled.
