Peachy (Warrior cats Crookedjaw x Bluefur au fic)

Chapter 2

"I swear to starclan I'm gonna slap some sense into oakheart one of these days."

Bluefur grumbled the words out as she walked through the courtyard of the school beside her sister, the white haired girl holding hands with her boyfriend, Thistleclaw. Bluefur honestly used to despise him until her sister made the two hang out. They weren't exactly friends still but they got along just fine.

"What'd he do this time?" Snowfur asked, her tone indicating she wasn't surprised. Bluefur threw her hands in the air. "He keeps flirting with me! I've told him I'm not interested at all. He's been like this since the first day of school when he flirted from across the hall and he's been driving me crazy since!"

Thistleclaw rolled his yellow eyes, running a hand through his gray long hair. "I could always knock some sense into him for you." Snowfur lightly slapped him. "No more getting into fights! We talked about this!" Thistle laughed in response. "I won't I promise."

Thistle wasn't the best person before the siblings had met him. He got into fights a lot, he was snarky and mean and annoying to everyone, and he did not seem interested in friends what so ever. Snowfur seemed to completely change him. Thistle always seemed less annoyed around her, and she honestly made him want to be a better person. Bluefur would be lying if she said she wasn't proud of her sister.

"Thistle it's fine, I'll deal with him."

"Why aren't you ever interested in romance anyways?? You've gone your whole life and still haven't fell in love with anyone."

Blue froze slightly but quickly regained her composure. She trusted her sister, but still. She didn't want her parents to know that there was a boy sneaking over every week, and Snowfur might accidentally let that slip.

"It's because I don't have time for romance snow. Sunfall chose me to be the next thunder village leader for a reason and I have a duty to stay on top of my studies to show I still have what it takes."

Her sister only rolled her eyes. "Uh huhhhhhh. Right. Whatever. Why not just go for thrushpelt then? He doesn't annoy you."

"No, he doesn't. You do though. Besides, he's my best friend, I don't see him that way."

"Blueeeee you gotta get with someone eventually!"

"What is it with you and your stupid romance?!"

As the three continued walking down the path towards thunder village, they eventually came to a crossroad. "Well, we're parting here. See ya tomorrow snowy." Thistleclaw murmured, bending down and kissing Snowfur. Bluefur did what any good sister would do and gagged, grabbing Snowfur by the backpack and pulling her away, dragging her towards the direction of their neighborhood. Snowfur only giggled and waved.

"MOMMMM, DADDDD, WE'RE HOMEEEE"

Snowfur's voice echoed through the kitchen as they entered, bluefur glancing towards their mom, who was reading at the table. "Where's dad?"

"He went out a while ago. How was school you two?"

Snowfur giggled. "It was great! The teachers were being jerks again though. Bluefur's got a secret admire- oof!" Snow was cut off with blue smacking her. Their mother sighed. "Bluefur please don't hit your sister. Is it that oakheart kid from river village again?"

Bluefur groaned. "Yeah, he's a real annoyance." Her mom chuckled lightly. "I think it's sweet."
"Well I think it's annoying."

Blue ended the conversation there, heading up towards her room and setting her backpack on the floor. She pulled the chair at her desk towards the window, silently waiting for crooked to appear.

Hours went by and he didn't show up. Blue sighed, assuming Mapleshade was keeping him again.

"Moooooooom? Can I go visit Yellowfang?"

"Is your homework done?"

"I did it at school."

"Then yes, have fun. Tell her I said hello!"

"Will do!"

With that, bluefur threw on her silver jacket, opening the door and rushing downstairs and back out the door. The sun was setting by now.

She wasn't actually going to go visit yellowfang. She turned towards the direction of the orphanage outside of all the villages. Blue was thankful for the lack of cameras there as she snook towards the back, glancing and shuddering at all the boarded up windows until she reached one. She knocked on it and silently waited.

She frowned as the board and window was lifted up by a silver haired girl with amber eyes. The girl gave a small smile when she saw who it was.

"Looking for crooked? You're two windows off."

"Thank you willowbreeze. Is he busy right now?"

"Nope. But he's pretty tired, mapleshade worked him all day. I gave him a break though when he came in to clean my room."

Blue sighed and nodded, murmuring another thanks as she walked two windows down, knocking on the window. Her smile returned when the familiar face of her boyfriend peaked out from under the loose board as he opened the window. "Wow, missed me that much?"

Blue laughed. "Oh be quiet. Yes I missed you." She silently pried the boards off, feeling behind the bush under the window to be sure the old hammer she kept there was still there so she could put the boards back. Crookedjaw climbed out, wrapping his arms around her with a genuine happy grin. Blue was absolutely moonstruck by his smile, but quickly snapped out of it as she took his hand, leading him over to the big tree on the nearby hill. Settling down on the grass, crooked sat next to her, leaning back against the trunk as blue leaned against him.

"So how was your day?" She started off.

"It was alright, I was really just cleaning things all day, mapleshade wasn't too happy I stayed out so late. How about you, how was school?"

Bluefur sighed. "Absolutely terrible per usual. Sorry she worked you so much."

"No no it's ok. What happened at school?"

Bluefur began on a ramble about her day, from the extra work since everyone practically knew she was gonna be leading thunder village one day, to the horrible teachers, to annoying oakheart. She didn't even realize crooked had intertwined her fingers as she spoke, but when she was done speaking she looked down at her hand, her face heating up slightly.  Crooked kissed the top her her head before resting his head on her's. "That sucks, I'm sorry babe. Wish there was more I could do."

Bluefur shrugged slightly, smiling and closing her eyes. "It's ok, you listening is honestly really helpful."

Crookedjaw only made a noise as a response, and the two sat there for a little while longer.

"You really should go back before she finds out your gone." Bluefur eventually murmured, breaking the silence. Crooked sighed and nodded. "Yeah. You're right. You should head back too."

Blue smiled, looking up at him. "I'll see you tomorrow though, right?"

"Of course. I'll throw rocks at your window like always."

"Haha. When it shatters you're gonna pay for it."

"It'll be worth it."
