prolouge

"Hyunjin. Come here."

Little Hyunjin waddled up to his father biting his nails with a fake, yet warm smile.

"Stop biting your nails. It's unsanitary and I wouldn't want to waste my precious many on a doctors appointment for you."

"Yes daddy.." He spoke lowering his hand down from his mouth.

"Now, your teachers have been telling me you've been alone at school? He asked, sorting out his money. Hyunjin nodded back, looking down feeling the nervousness on the tip of his finger tips.

"Words and look up at me. Jeez have you forgotten everything I taught you? Incredibly rude." Mr. Hwang hissed.

Hyunjin held in his as he looked back up at his so called "daddy." "S-sorry daddy.. and yes I don't have anyone to m-mingle with."

"You're in seventh grade. And you have no friends? That's terrible for your reputation and me. So, I talked with some other parents and bought you some." He took his cigarette at out his mouth before blowing a puff of smoke in Hyunjin's face.

"Their names are Felix and Seungmin. You know them?" "Yeah... they are really popular.." Mr. Hwang chuckled with a smirk. "Good. You will be picked up by their parents tomorrow morning. And I better see hear you tell me you will be attending to their house after school. Got it?"

Hyunjin put his hands behind his back, digging his nails into his wrists forcing himself to nod and smile. "Okay. Thank you daddy." He said before bowing at an exact ninety degree angle since his father said it was rude not to.

"Good I'm leaving." He said, getting up out of his chair, burn out his cigarette on a twenty dollar bill. "D-didn't you just come back from a business trip though?-"
"That's none of your damn business is it?" Mr. Hwang snapped slamming his hand on the table. Hyunjin quickly shook his head as fear filled his eyes.

"You're too damn nosy. Fix it. That's your new assignment." Was the last thing he said before leaving for three years.

Now Hyunjin is a sophomore in College. His dad payed for the rest of his schooling wanting him to quickly finish school for him to join the company. Because of his father's disappearance, he turned very snobby. He lost all of his manners saying that he was now free. Of course, until Mr. Hwang's surprising re-appearance.

That night was full of scolding and even hitting of how Hyunjin was doing everything wrong. Hyunjin told himself he deserved it. For trying to treat his father like his friends. It didn't take awhile for him to be put back in his place. He still has to call his father "daddy" for god sakes. Even in front of his friends which makes him more embarrassed. His father is rarely around, which is not surprising. And his mom? She left him a couple months after Hyunjin was born. She is now no where to be seen. It's not like Hyunjin would want to talk to her anyways.

But now, Hyunjin has the campus on their knees for him. The seniors, the school board, everyone. Well that was until someone showed up.
