6. I Don't Deserve You

Time had passed and the night had stretched on.

Serena had sobered up, but still continued to have a good time. Shauna on the other hand, was quite intoxicated. The blonde really wanted to talk to her ex, but now wasn't sure if it was a good time.

The party came to an end and everyone was expected to leave. Serena sighed, leaving the party feeling disappointed that she didn't run into Shauna again.

The girl tapped away on her phone, organising an uber to collect her and take her back to Vaniville town. She bit her lip, seeing the price of the ride.

"Y'know, you could just stay at my place." A voice piped up. Serena peered over her phone to see Shauna, and couldn't help but offer a smile. Shauna was sobering up, but still remained a little unsteady.

"I mean - if you want to! No pressure." Shauna admitted, noticing the silence that grew between the pair. "Actually.." Serena looked down at her phone, before closing it. She'd wanted to see Shauna again, this was a perfect opportunity. "I'd appreciate that a lot Shaunee." Serena smiled.

"Sweet! Then let's go, it's about a ten minute walk!" Shauna said, before the pair linked arms, Serena helping the unsteady girl walk, as they headed to Shauna's home.

They reached Shauna's apartment. The brunette took the house key from her pocket and unlocked the door. The pair then entered the house. Serena closed the door behind her, before hesitantly facing Shauna.

She needed to talk to her, but dreaded the conversation at the same time. What if she was too late, and Shauna didn't feel the same for Serena anymore. Serena bit her lip, she needed to know.

"Emma isn't home, you can take her room if you want, or there's the couch too." Shauna said, with a smile. "I'll get you some water and a Panadol for the morning." The brunette decided, before she headed towards the kitchen.

"Shauna, wait." Serena said reaching out her hand to grab the brunette's. Shauna stopped in her place and turned around to face Serena. "I need to tell you something." She said softly. Shauna blinked in surprise, "Uh.. yeah go ahead." She replied.

Serena fell silent for a moment, as she released her hand from the brunette. "I'm just going to get straight to the point.." Serena decided. "Shauna, I still love you." The blonde said softly, a light blush on her cheeks.

Shauna grew a little surprised, she expected Serena to move on.. after all, she broke the girl's heart. "Serena.. I don't deserve you.. not after what I did to you.. I broke your heart." Shauna confessed, her voice sounding sad.

"You did what was right for you at the time.. and I don't hold it against you. You ended up being there for your sister when she needed you, and I'm sure she is so grateful. Sure, our break up hurt.. but I completely understood. You were put in a really unfair position by your family." Serena explained. Shauna listened intently, feeling a little bit relieved by this conversation.

"Serena.." Shauna began softly. "I can't put into words how much I've missed you.. I've never stopped loving you, either." She explained. "Not a day has gone by where I haven't thought about calling you or.. wondered how you were going.. and just missed you.. I thought you would have moved on, and that I didn't deserve you." The brunette sighed, looking down.

Serena took a step forward and gently cupped Shauna's face with her hand, causing the brunette to look up and lock eyes with her. "I have felt the same way.. I have been missing you too... so so much." She said, looking at Shauna intently. "Can you forgive me.. for all of this mess?" Shauna asked, her voice a little shaky. "Babe, it's already done." Serena replied gently.

Shauna let out a sigh of relief before she lightly pressed her forehead against Serena's, as the blonde removed her hand from Shauna's face. After a moment, the pair closed the gap inbetween them, and kissed gently.

They broke apart after a moment, and looked at eachother. "I love you Sere." Shauna said, with a small smile. "I love you too." Serena smiled back brightly.

From that night onwards, the pair began dating again. They felt content with themselves, like they finally had what they were missing in their lives.

For a while, they lived apart but eventually Serena moved in with Shauna and Emma as she started a patisserie course in Lumiose city.

Serena planned to become a sweets baker, and hopefully open her own store in the city. Her specialty was Pokepuffs, and the trios Pokemon adored them.

Shauna planned to become the Princess of Kalos, as she wanted to become the Ultimate Performer.

As for Emma, she got a job with Looker as a detective.

So basically, everyone lived happily ever after.
