There are exciting voices that echo inside the train. There were other teenagers her age that were probably going to the same school as her. Their faces showed ecstatic features but something about it didn't seem right. On one side of the train, there were a group of girls that looked at Tessa as they spoke. Tessa is interrupted by her thoughts when Trina grabs her arm so that they can sit in their seats and make themselves feel at 'home'.

"Tessa, are you okay? You look exhausted. Let me carry your suitcase." As Tessa is about to hand her luggage over, Sabre grabs it first and smiles at Tessa. "Don't worry, I've got it."

They all sit down and Tessa looks around curiously. She sees that Ben is reading The Daily Wizatch, Trina is on her phone, Clarence is reading a book and Sabre is staring right at her. He is sitting opposite to her and she looks down, embarrassed.

"What's wrong Tess, you seem troubled?"  Tessa looks back at him and smiles. "No nothing is wrong. I am fine." Tessa ties her hair into a ponytail and looks around, worry is painted across her face. Sabre smiles and offers his hand. Tessa takes his hand and they both stand up. Sabre guides her to a small balcony outside.

The breeze hits hard on Tessa's face and she turns away from it to face Sabre. "Tell me what's going on. You can trust me, Tess." Sabre steps close and touches the railing of the balcony. Tessa looks down and decides to tell him about her concerns. "You know the girls that are sitting opposite to us?" Sabre nods and listens to Tessa patiently. "I recognise them, two of them are my sisters." Tessa realises that she is still holding Sabre's hand and gently takes it away. She turns her back from him. "I don't want to meet them. For some reason, when I entered the train, I felt a wierd sensation pass through my body. This feeling only hits me when someone uses their dark power on someone. My father used to practise it back at home. So I can feel the energy."

When Sabre opens his mouth to say something, the cabin next to them glows brightly of energy that grabs Sabre's attention. They both head towards the cabin and look inside. There was black liquid all over the room and someone was on the floor. Tessa steps back and puts her hand on her mouth so that she doesn't shout. Sabre realises exactly what has happened. When he turns around to look at Tessa, his face is covered with terror. "We need to get everyone out of here." He rushes out of the balcony and into the cabin. Tessa realises that she must get everyone together but make sure that they remain clam. A sound comes from the speaker intercom.

"Attention all, I do not want to cause any concern to you all but we must stop the train immediately. There is a threat on the train but I want you all to remain calm. Tessa Raiver shall gather you together with your luggage. Get ready to jump!"

Tessa waves her hand around so that everyone knows who she is. Amidst the chaos, Trina yells, "I've got your things, Tessa." Everyone rushes towards Tessa. The two girls that Tessa suspected as her sisters eye her shrewdly but they do as they are told. The door flings open and Tessa tries to find Sabre in the cabin. "He was controlling the panels and is driving the train. The train starts to slow but it doesn't stop. There was some friction on the back wheels which created small flickers of fire.

One by one, people step out of the door with their luggage. There were rocks all over the ground which would mean getting cuts on the skin. Tessa tried to count all of them and there are probably 50 people aboard. When she is the last to jump, she looks back at the cabin and meets Sabre's eyes. "Go, Tessa!" Tessa feels tears well up in her eyes. She didn't quite understand the feelings that she had for Sabre but she felt her heart tear at the thought of leaving him in the train himself. "I am not leaving you alone!" "LEAVE!" Sabre yells. Tessa jumps out and crashes onto the floor and stays still. She strains her ears to hear the low hum of the train that was now far away from her.

People pass by her but they don't seem to notice her. Just then, Clarence passes by with his parents and reaches out his hand to pull Tessa from the ground. "Are you okay, Tessa?" Clarence looks at her all over and Tessa pulls him into a hug, "We need to get Sabre from the train." Clarence soothes Tessa and gently strokes her back. "Everything will be fine. Sabre can travel in the shadows." Surrounding them is water and a strong light beam hits Tessa's clothes and she looks at the direction where it came from. There was a massive blue lighthouse in the centre of the lake.

People start running towards Tessa and tell her about the lighthouse. "Who amongst you all are able to morph?" 5 people step forward, counting Clarence. Tessa orders the 5 people and tells them to morph into canoes so that they can transport them all to the lighthouse. Someone puts their hand out and says, "That lighthouse is abandoned. The mystery of the light on at night and off in the morning has remained a secret to the public. I believe that Sabre's uncle used to own the place." Tessa smiles at the person. "Thanks for the heads up." They all go into the 'canoes' and Tessa sits with Trina and Ben while she looks out at the forest, hoping that Sabre is standing there with a flashlight from the train. But there is only darkness. Without Sabre, she is nothing. But what if she can prove to herself that she is stronger than that?
