Problems in my country

There are many problems in my country, from pollution all the way to human trafficking

Yes my country has school shootings, why are there so many bad things

I'm scared, My family is scared, the people of my own country are scared

They wish that the government cared

People in my country want a son not a daughter

And many of them don't get clean or drinkable water

Kidnappings and shootings

It's all happening

Government too corrupt to see what's going on

They realize these bad things after people are gone

Sometimes when I visit, we don't get electricity

We see on the news about all the poverty

Some people in my country are really suffering

While the government lives in all this luxury

They promise us change for our country

While many of them just steal all the money

They get apartments in London and America and everywhere

While people in my country can't afford healthcare

Now don't get me wrong, there are good things there

But right now I'm talking about how the government doesn't care

I remember my grandmother saying that one day things will be okay

I see my family watch the news in dismay

I see older kids or kids of my age who don't get the chance to study

It's because they're too busy working hard, making their hands dirty and bloody

Why are they working? It's so that their family doesn't sleep on the street at night

So that there other siblings can have a better life

Don't even get me started on acid attacks on girls

They ruing those girls who are as precious as gems or pearls

There is so much against girls and women

That when they scream for help, nobody seems to listen

I know people who make their backs break, and their fingers ache

Just so that they can put food on the table

And I know they go to sleep thinking, will I get paid for being maid, or will I get paid for being a construction worker, or will I be fired the next day

Because they know, and I know that their jobs aren't sustainable

Now see the tears in these people's eyes, and how they scream for a better life

I wish and I pray that one day, the government will finally hear their cries

Y'all dont judge my country and stuff cause they are nice things about it but this is just some of the problems that have been there for the past few years...
