I wake up and notice Medic is taking notes about my condition and trying not to fall asleep. "DiD sOmEtHiNg HaPpEn?" I ask, curious.
"Oh Error! You're awake!" Medic says. He yawns before continuing. "I just didn't get good sleep. But I can't just go to sleep either. I have patients to take care of. You're one of them."
"OtHeR dOcToRs CaN tAkE cArE oF eVeRyOnE. In ThE mEanTiMe YoU cAn JoIn..." I yawn as I start becoming tired again. "ThE gAnG. iT's OnLy FiVe In ThE mOrNiNg."
Medic looks over at the pile of sleeping skeletons and notices a conveniently sized hole for him. He watches as Error falls asleep again before teleporting to the space and laying down. The last thing he remembers before falling asleep is the Bad Sanses closing whatever gap was left and including him in the pile.

"Medic! Oh there you! Are..." Dream says as he bursts into Error's room. What he sees shocks him. Error is asleep in the hospital bed and Medic and the Bad Sanses are asleep on a mattress on the floor. Cuddling each other and making a skeleton pile. "Why do their skulls look like they had been crying? Medic is the only one without tear streaks on his skull though." He mutters.
I wake up and see Dream in the room. "W-WhAt ArE yOu DoInG hErE?!" I weakly snap, trying my best to look intimidating. It doesn't work and I dive into a coughing fit.
Dream rushes to Error's side and rubs his spine, hoping to help with the sudden coughing fit. He relaxes when Error stops coughing and yawns, the fit seemingly taking all of his energy. "Are you okay? I've never seen you so weak before." He says.
"AnSwEr My QuEsTiOn FiRsT." I reply. I'm not in the mood for games. I'd rather go back to sleep than deal with the positive skeleton. It's only seven in the morning if I'm reading the clock correctly.
"I came here to talk with Medic but found this instead. Then you woke up and here we are." Dream replies, yawning slightly.
"I'm SicK. MeDiC hAsN't ToLd Me WhAt I hAvE yEt BuT i KnOw WhAtEvEr It Is iS bAd SiNcE iT's AfFeCtInG mE lIkE tHiS. jOiN tHe SkElEtOn PiLe. YoU lOoK... tIrEd." I say, yawning at the end.
Dream turns to the skeleton pile and notices a space near the edge of the mattress, big enough for him to fit. "I can't. I have to help the Multiverse since Ink and Blue can't." He replies.
"JuSt SlEeP... dOn'T aRgUe... SlE..." I mutter, drifting off again before I can finish. I don't mind though. I haven't had any nightmares thanks to, well, Nightmare so I'm actually able to get good sleep, even though I'm constantly falling asleep because of my severely weakened state.
Dream watches as Error falls asleep. He yawns and teleports to the spot on the mattress, laying down. He feels skeletal arms wrap around him and notices Killer has begun cuddling him in his sleep, subconsciously trying to get him to join the skeleton pile. Dream closes his eyes and falls asleep, becoming part of the skeleton pile as all the skeletons shift to cuddle the new member of the pile and each other.

By the time the seven skeletons in the skeleton pile wake up it's one in the afternoon. Not like they mind. All of them have been stressed.
Nightmare groggily looks around as he tries to piece together what happened last night. Oh yeah. Error had to get surgery. He thinks. He notices two new additions to the pile. Medic and Dream. "Error probably let them join us. And we probably accepted them. Since I know how skeletons act while sleeping in a skeleton pile. Oh well. They needed the rest as well. I can tell.
Medic wakes up and notices Nightmare is awake. He realizes everyone else is still asleep so he whispers. "Nightmare. Are you feeling any better?" He asks.
"A lot better actually. Thanks for that." Nightmare replies. "It's one in the afternoon though. I half woke up earlier at around ten and saw a couple nurse monsters. They must've told someone about this but no one's done anything so you're fine. I'm pretty sure everyone in the hospital knows how stressed out we all are." He says.
Medic nods in agreement. "That's good. I didn't want to get in trouble for sleeping during my shift. Glad to know the others are okay with it though. On another note I want you to call that therapist. I recommend individual and group therapy for all of you. You really seem to need it with all the stuff that's going on right now." He says.
Dream wakes up and hears Medic and Nightmare talking. "Brother?" He mumbles, trying to blink the sleep from his eye sockets. His eye lights are dull from still being tired.
"I'm here Dream. Go back to sleep. Your eye lights are dull from being tired." Nightmare replies.
"I can't. I have to check on... Ink." Dream mutters before slipping back into unconsciousness. He quickly slips into a dream, smiling softly, a clear indication the dream is a good one.
Nightmare sighs in relief as his brother falls asleep again. He's still tired but he can't fall asleep again. Someone needs to guard the others. His body thinks otherwise, eye sockets drooping and a loud yawn escaping his mouth. "Maybe....five more....minutes..." He thinks before falling asleep again.
Medic wakes up and sees all the other skeletons in the room are asleep. He's still tired but he knows he has to get to work. Focus Sans. Ignore how tired you are and get to work.
"Oh Sans! You're awake!" Julie, a cat monster exclaims as she walks in the room.
"What can I do for you Julie?" Medic asks, trying to stifle a yawn. I hope this isn't the season I think it is. I thought skeletons weren't affected by hibernation season anymore.
"Just wanted to check on you all. For some reason skeletons are still affected by hibernation season even though that died out years ago so I wanted to make sure you were okay. If I remember correctly you said hibernation season starts today?"
Medic nodded, yawning. "Correct. It ends a month from now. Look. I'm really tired and I can't move from this skeleton pile. Not that I want to. Can you have one of the assistant non skeleton doctors check on Error and Blue until we all wake up?"
"Of course Sans!" Julie exclaims. "You have a nice nap and I'll get that taken care of. Now go to sleep. Your eye lights are dull. I can tell you're tired." She says.
Medic nods and falls asleep, a soft smile on his face as the other skeletons in the skeleton pile cuddle him again.
Throughout the day Killer, Horror, Dust, Blue, and Error all wake up only to fall asleep again after a few minutes. Each of them slipping into good dreams that will last for the entire month.
Ink is in a coma but he's already dreaming so he isn't affected by hibernation season.
All across the Multiverse skeletons sleep. Timelines stand still. Humans refuse to fall down. Some humans fall down but don't leave the Ruins. They won't until the skeletons wake up. Toriels worry for their Sanses if it's an AU where the Sans lives in the Ruins with them, only to remember its hibernation season. Across millions of AUs, skeletons are taken to their beds or the guest beds of other monsters.
Across millions of Undergrounds monsters stop what they are doing to help the skeletons of the Undergrounds with hibernation season. King Asgores and Queen Toriels, depending on the universe, are alerted that hibernation season has come, and act based on their policies for the month of hibernation season. Across the Multiverse all the Sanses and Papryuses rest. Some dreaming. Some not. Some having good dreams. Some not.
As the Bad Sanses slip into their dreamlands, soft smiles appear on their skulls. Dreaming of whatever runs through their heads when they're asleep. For one a dream of food. For the second a dream of getting rid of Chara and ending the dust and blood filled loop. For the third a dream of restoring XTale. For the fourth a dream of regaining their emotions without risk of a reset. For the fifth a dream of acceptance by their bullies. And for the final one, a dream of a truce. No more destruction that's not needed. No more creation sprees every day. Just a peaceful yet chaotic life.
