My mind was racing so fast, and I couldn't think of what to say. I missed him, and I just wanted to jump into his arms. I could feel myself inching closer to him, just begging for his touch. In the darkness I could only make out his perfect face, illuminated from the ball of light he held in his hands.
As I got closer and closer I realized something was different about him. He kept his eyes closed, and he sat there as still as a statue. The ball of light he held in his hand was so bright, and the only source it looked like it was coming from was him. The situation was strange, and Jakove seemed to be in this weird meditative state.
There was this strange vibe in the air, and I couldn't seem to get myself to move. All I could do in this very moment is stare at him, and feel the anxiety course through me as I waited for what was about to happen next.
Why did I feel so strange in his presence? Usually I felt so calm with Jakove around. He was the cure to all my self-hatred and self-doubt I had about myself. He was the calm to the raging storm that was inside of me; like balm on irritated skin.
Unwilling to acknowledge the feelings I had in this very moment, I tried to get my mouth to move to say something, but nothing came out. I was in this weird paralyzed state; like a fly caught in a web.
Suddenly I could see Jakove snap out of the state that he was in, and somehow absorb the ball of light into his hands. He looks at me with his icy blue eyes glowing in the dim fire light. They were almost inhuman looking the way they shinned in the darkness. I felt a cold sweat form on my brow, as I stared into his otherworldly eyes.
Alarm was ringing in my body, but there was nothing I could do about it. Jakove got out of his seat, and approached closer to me. The look in his eyes was soulless and callous; they weren't the eyes of the Jakove I had known. Did they draw out the Mangata? Was the boy I knew and loved gone forever to the monster that was inside of him?
He inched closer to me, and stuck out his hand in order to touch my face. I wanted to pull away, but I could still feel the paralysis holding my body down. Jakove touched my face with light feathery fingers, and it immediately sent a strange surge of memories coursing through me. How I longed for his touch, and prayed for his safety, so he could be close to me again.
He brings his face down to my eye level, and stares into my eyes; his mouth only inches from mine. I could audibly hear his shallow breathing, and my heart began to pound anticipating what was about to happen next. His lips looked so soft, and I felt the shameful urge of wanting them on mine. We sat there staring into each other's eyes, waiting for the other person to make their move, knowing what the outcome would be.
In a split second, his lips were on mine, and I was in heaven. I felt myself melting into him, and spilling all my emotions into him. My hands dug themselves into the back of his hair, appreciating the softness of it. He was everything I remembered and more. I didn't care who he was in this moment, and I didn't care what he had done, all that mattered was that he was right here with me in this delicate embrace. Time seemed to stop entirely, and I could feel myself wanting more. Jakove didn't give any indication that he was willing to let go, and I allowed myself to be engulfed in him.
After a moment of us being entangled in each other I could feel a strange burning develop in my arm. At first, it was dull and manageable, but as the moments ticked on it became more and more intense, and began shooting fiery pains up to my heart. I tried pulling myself away from him, but he didn't let go; I was engulfed in his snare. All the good feelings I once had, were now turning into nightmares the longer I was attached to him. It was like he was incubus sucking out my soul, and all the good memories that went with it.
