The drive to the mall wasn't that long as Amelia expected it to be, and she actually had fun talking with both Caroline and Elena, as they seemed pretty lovely individuals, at least so far.

After about 15 minutes of driving, Amelia saw a big building for which she believed was a mall, so after Caroline told her that it was indeed a mall, she drove to the parking lot, searching for an excellent place to park.

After about a few minutes of searching for the place to park, she found a good place where she parked the car. She took the car keys and stepped out of the car, waiting for Caroline and Elena to get out.

"So, where does this friend of yours meet us?" Amelia looked at both of them, waiting for an answer. "I think she is waiting at the exit, but I am not sure. We will see, it is better if we go and see for ourselves." Caroline spoke before turning away, walking to what Amelia realized was a mall, and so Elena and Amelia followed her quickly.

When they walked to the mall, Amelia saw a beautiful dark-skinned brunette that was standing by the door, and when she saw them, she suddenly smiled. They walked to her, and as they came closer Bonnie hugged first Caroline and then Elena.

"So, I suppose you are Bonnie?" Amelia flashed her a sweet smile, which she returned as she nodded.

"Yes, I am Bonnie Bennett, and you are Amelia, right? Caroline told me a little bit about you." She just nodded at her words.

"Yes, Amelia. Wait, you are a Bennett? I knew your relative Emily; she was such a nice person and a very good friend of mine."

"Well, good to hear that. As you can imagine, I didn't know her well; you know the all century apart and that." Amelia just laughed as she nodded.

"Yeah, I see how this could be a problem. Anyway, we should be going. I thought we could go grab a drink; I would like to know more about you all."

"Sounds fantastic, Amy. I know just a place, it isn't as good as the local bar in the town, but it isn't that bad." Caroline smiled as she led the way into the mall.

They walked through the mall, up the stairs when they saw a sign for the Cafe, and so they all went inside.

After a minute of looking for the table to sit at, they saw an empty booth, so they went there to sit down.

It didn't take long for the waiter to come to get their order, and after they got what they ordered, Amelia spoke.

"So, let me get this straight. Elena is dating Damon; Caroline is Stefan's best friend, and Bonnie, you are their friend?"

"Yeah, pretty much. Well, expect the fact that Elena here has dated Stefan before Damon. And Damon, well, we don't wanna go there." Caroline looked down for a second, her smile disappearing, but after that second was gone, she was once again smiling, which felt really weird, like she was uncomfortable talking about the Damon situation, but Amelia let it slip.

"Wow, thanks Care. Yeah, Stefan and I were together before the whole me dying with Damon blood in my system situation. But what if we talk about the feelings Stefan has for you, Care?" Suddenly Caroline looked at her, surprised by her words.

"We are going there, huh? He knows that I don't love him like that, that my feelings are nothing but a friend kind, he knows it, Elena and yes it hurts seeing that I hurt him by my words, but you don't choose who your heart loves."

"Yeah, I can see that after all, you have fallen for the enemy, the forbidden fruit." Caroline just rolled her eyes, but her words really spiked Amelia's interest.

"What are you talking about, now I am curious. Tell me everything." Elena laughed slightly as she leaned forward.

"It is quite a story, actually. Care here has fallen for a certain hybrid." Amelia laughed a bit as she said, "a hybrid, well, well, that sounds like a good story." Elena just nodded, "oh, believe me, it is." Suddenly she was interrupted by Caroline, "excuse me, but I am like still here." Elena just rolled her eyes, dismissing her like Caroline didn't say a thing.
