As I lift my face I'm met with that of Joseph Cuaton who has a small smile on.

"Nice meeting you again" he says, his arm still around my waist from catching me to which I bring his attention to.
"Um........ You can let go now"
"Why? My arm seems quite comfortable in this position"
At that Adrian decides to step in not appreciating the not-so-subtle flirting going on.

"Okay dude, big fan but get your hands off my baby sister." He says pulling Joseph's arm off my waist.
"Chill man. I was just making sure she didn't fall."
"By keeping your arm around her. Yeah such genius."

While they both engage in a little argument about who is right and such, I notice a familiar boy in a Billie Eilish hoodie who looks at Joseph with an exasperated look and a hand on his waist. I realize he's the guy I bumped into at the college, I still can't see his face because of the hoodie and the black face mask isn't really helping.

I soon grow tired of Joseph's and Adrian's bickering and pull Adrian away. "It was lovely meeting you but we gotta go. Bye!"

Adrian keeps muttering profanities at Joseph while driving us home and for some reason my mind stays stuck on a boy with braces and a black face mask.

  One Week Later
The sound of a beeping alarm cuts sharply into my peaceful, quiet sleep making me sit up on my bed with a groan knowing in won't go back to sleep again.

I rake my hand through the tangled mess which is my hair at the moment and go to wake Adrian, heaven knows he'll stay in that bed all morning if I let him.

"Wake the hell up" I say drowsily after barging into his room and ripping his blanket from his body. He flips me off and goes back to sleep. I leave knowing he'll get up in about ten minutes now that I've disturbed his sleep.

I spend approximately 45 minutes getting ready and throw together a lazy outfit consisting of Adrian's black and white patterned flannel, black ripped jeans and my favorite vans. I grab my small, dark blue bag and black beanie before heading down for breakfast.

"I was lazy this morning so all I made was french toast, eggs and some pineapple juice" Adrian let's out with a yawn when he hears me coming down.
"Thanks"

He let's out a 'you're welcome' and turns towards me, eyes widening as he takes in my appearance.
"Excuse you?" He says with an eyebrow arched. I respond with a 'what?' not knowing what the problem is.

"Do you honestly expect me to allow you to look like that for your first day at college?" What's wrong with my outfit.
"Like what? What I'm wearing is perfectly fine." I counter, slightly offended.
"Yeah perfect. If you're going for the depressed teen that's angry at the world look."
"The fuck. This is your shirt!"
"But you don't see me looking like that in it."

I end up getting dragged back to my room to fix the apparent disaster that is my clothes. Adrian tosses me a long sleeved, white shirt with a collar and skinny jeans from somewhere in my closet.

"Adrian I'm not wearing these. The goal is comfort and I have exactly fifty five minutes to get to college or I'll be late, so please just let me wear what I'm wearing now."

I don't think he heard me after 'I'm not wearing this' cause he's now looking through my closet for more options.
"For the love of-- Adrian just fucking drive me to school already. Please!" I say getting a little frustrated.
"Hell no. Are you trying to look like a basic bitch?"
"Yes!"

After ten long, wasted minutes, he finds an outfit that he proclaims cute and comfy which is practically a remix of what I wore at first. He gave me a white top, tied his shirt around my waist and replaced my beanie with a bucket hat.

"Happy now?" I ask sarcastically to which he replies with
"Eh? Could've been better but I didn't exactly have much to work with."
"Rude" I shove him and he pretends to stumble dramatically, us laughing as we finally head to school.
