"You have got to be fucking with me." I burst into hysterical laughter probably convincing everyone in the room that I have lost my mind.
"You motherfucker. You went behind your own daughter's back to botch a plan to rescue your son? Together with your sworn rival? I am needing an explanation here."

The man I used to consider my father looks at me with regret painting his features.
"You have to understand Kaelynn. I did it for you, my family." I stop him right there.

"What family? Last time I checked you have no family. Mom died, Ajax got turned into a killing bot and your 'daughter' just became non existent."

At my words his face hardens, even the regret I saw vanished.
"You're right. I did it for myself and the future of my company."
Wow. Points for honesty.

"Now to get rid of that." He says pointing towards Yanyan with a gun that I have no idea where it came from. He isn't possibly thinking of killing him right?
"You wouldn't dare." Pierre cuts in having enough of our little family drama.

"Of course he wouldn't. The only killing going on today will be done by A5J. Gotta take it for a test run." Yanyan gives me pleading gazes, undoubtedly scared for his life. How did my life get so fucked up?

My brother pushes away the guard that was holding Yanyan and grabs him roughly. He whips out a gun from a holster I didn't notice before on his belt and places it directly on his head. I can't do anything. If I move he'll shoot, if I stay he'll shoot and I have no long distance weapons.

I can't do anything to save him and it kills me.
"Please don't kill him. I'll do anything you want just leave him alone." Pierre smirks and offers me a deal.
The company or Yanyan.

A no brainer right. At least that's what you'd think. I'm about to give my answer when something behind Pierre makes me change my mind.
"There's no way I'm giving you Garcia Global." The betrayed look on Yanyan's face sears through me. Obviously taken aback Pierre gives the order to fire.

A loud shot echoes through the room and so does Lucas's voice.
"How bout you stay dead this time old bastard?" Lucas tosses me a gun which I use to plant a bullet in the head of what used to be my brother.

Yanyan engulfs me in a huge hug which I return with just as much strength.
"You would never trade my life would you?" He asks voice muffled by my shoulder.
"Of course not." He pulls away and smashes his lips on mine getting that kiss Adrian interrupted what seems like years ago.

His lips move perfectly against mine, the taste of strawberry on them sending me into a euphoric state. A loud throat clearing and need for oxygen making us pull apart.
"Could you refrain from sucking each other's faces in front of us pleases?"
"Let em be babe. We both know we're way worse." Joseph stutters not being able to contradict Lucas and blushes at the pet name.

Clanking of metal draw our attention to the man we all forgot was even still there.
"I'd rather die than accept defeat from scum." Those were the last words of the man who bore me.

Funny thing. I don't feel an atom of pain or sadness at his death. He died a cowardly one. Suicide from shame(?) I don't wanna know.

"Let's go home. I need a long nap." Everything is finally okay now.
