"I can't believe it!" A few voices past by as Okita tended to the herbs. "We haven't seen the garden like this since... years!" A teacher commented behind the closed gates. Okita smiled faintly and she was proud of herself for achieving such a feat. It's only been two weeks, and Okita got the garden running up. It looked like the Garden of Prosperity, but grandmother's garden was better. There was the warm pink glow within the garden she never found at first. She added herbs, flowers, plants, and one wisteria tree from her grandmother's garden. Everyday between her classes, she came to this garden and watered the plants. There's a lot more than to just watering though. Here are somethings she does, just some; Take out the weeds, check the soils everyday, prevent pests, and prune the dead stems, leaves, or petals.

Everyone was amazed at her ability to do so. She even got better at walking. She trained herself to walk back and forth between classes and the garden. Eventually, she was able to join her Physical Ed's track team. She was so proud of herself. And she knew that her grandma would be too. One day, something caught her attention. Well kind of like... Someone. The gates were closed to her garden and open only to her. Sometimes students would ask her for any medicinal herbs through the gate. But this time was special. Because they didn't just ask for a herb, they asked to go in.

"Hey! Girl! I need something!" A husky voice called out through the big leaves that rested on Okita's head. "I'm coming!" She tripped over the leaves and then got up from the soft fall of the beautiful green grass. She wiped some soil off her cheek and skirt, but there was still some on her nose.  She came to the gate, to see the only thing that she was missing in this school. A really really cute boy.

His brown bangs covered his forehead, and his brown hazel eyes met hers. An ugly brown. While Okita's hair was just jet-black and came down to her shoulders. Lucky for Okita, she's really good at hiding feelings. So she hid her slight pink tint. But she couldn't help but feel her heart race faster when she saw him. "What is it?" He flicked her in the nose. "WHAT!? What was that for!?" Okita placed her hands on her nose, trying to recover from the blow. The boy  noticed how cute she was when she was angry but surprised.

"You had soil on your nose." She looked down at her feet, embarrassed. And she had every right because first off, he touched her. And second, it was embarrassing for someone to meet you with dirt on your nose. "You could've just told me." Okita placed a hand on her skirt making sure there wasn't any on there either. "Sorry. That was a bad introduction. What do you need?" Okita smiled through the gate.

The boy replied, " I need something to cure my indigestion." "Oh I know just the thing!" Okita walked back to the herb section. But the boy couldn't help but see that she walked pretty un normally. Okita came back with a few leaves of peppermint. "This will help cure it. Just drink it as tea." Okita handed him the leaves through the gate, but the boy never reached his hands out. "I don't know how to make tea." Okita shuddered from impatience and placed the leaves back into the herbs section. "Go to the café near the academy." "I'm not allowed to. Not without someone." "Fine then! I'll bring you there later! Just drink your damn tea!" Okita did it.

She didn't realize she just cursed and lost her temper. "Sorry." Her growing crimson red blush deepened. "So you're asking me out?" "No. Just go." "Okay. I'll meet you here after school." Okita gawked. "Wait-WHAT? When did I ever say that we were going today-" But the boy was already gone.

She fell on the grass, pressing her sweaty palms against her warm cheeks. "What have I done? I got myself a date without even asking for it." She leaned against the gate. Regretting every minute she thought about the strange brown haired cutie.
